I'm not sure how much of the gruden stuff had any validity.....his agent threw out the same stuff when the Texas job came open too.

I have no idea what the boosters want but their opinions do matter.....not the end all though.

I would rather have Cowher but very happy with Butch though.

What I commented on was their words to Hart about Pearl. What you are doing is the same ole, same ole spin instead of staying with the subject matter. You showed up here right after Martin started coaching and have been his strongest advocate with a post of criticism every 10,000 post. We all thought it was strange that you posted !0,000 times so quickly to give yourself some validity that we knew you were a plant.

Yea their opinions matter, but not enough to force Hart's hand was my point. If the donors couldn't get their way in football, wtf makes anyone think they're gonna get their way in basketball. Not to mention that way involves hiring a coach who has a bad reputation with the NCAA.

Well if they wanted strong and we offered strong than that would be forcing their hand....I don't think pearl will be our coach but don't think it is completely out of the question.

What is mediocre though? If Martin makes the NCAAT this year and then makes it 3 years in a row but never gets past the second round, is that mediocre?

If it's 1 NCAAT for every 3 NIT appearances, I agree, but I think people's definition of mediocre is very different.
