Has the AD said they're gonna hire a high major successful coach? Has the AD said they're even looking to make a move? Has the AD said there's even an opening?
Haha. Well it's obvious Martin isn't the answer. Whether it be this year or next year he will be gone. It's inevitable.
My question is simply: what successful coach would be willing to come here?
I know of one coach...
If he doesn't?
If he doesn't he will be coaching here next year and that will be his last year.
Just looking at the roster he has now and the results he's provided, it's not hard to see that he's under achieved to this point.
With that being said, do you think he will be able to produce any type of positive results next year with what he's losing?
Honestly no, not really. However I also don't think that Hart would fire him the year after he potentially makes the dance. Watch and see what happens, if Martin makes the dance he will receive a bonus, raise and extension.
With college basketball being so watered down nowadays and the SEC being extremely weak. Cuonzo has final four talent on this roster, two NBA prospects, a team that has been together for a while, and plenty of veteran players. He has legit starters and a solid bench.
What has he done with this team, possibly the best team he will have during his tenure, that has anyone excited about the future?
Don't worry, I'll wait.
