War in Ukraine

LOL. You actually whatabouted that post!

For the record, while I recognize the historical russian aggression toward Ukraine, I am not pro Ukraine so much as I like it when an enemy of the US is bogged down in a meat grinder. russia is our enemy. I applaud when they do poorly, like, for example, failing to quickly prosecute a war against a clearly militarily weaker foe. And I especially enjoy watching the russians flounder about with logistics failures while fighting a nation on their own border.

Every destroyed russian tank makes the world a slightly better place. Don't you agree????

No. You don't. Because you're a putin/russia fanboi.
Why is Russia our enemy? What has Russia ever done to us?

I can assure you from a first hand account the defense industry absolutely gathers as much feedback from fielded systems performance and factors the results into product improvements Moe. The military in fact encourages this.

Makes sense. You really don't know what you have until you use it ... the real stuff in the real situation. Despite all the testing, war games, etc, you still have to have the real test. Like in Vietnam when the brainiacs had decided fighters didn't need guns because they had missiles, and then found the missiles really didn't work well at all for a variety of reasons, and scrambled to put gun pods on F-4s. It's possibly one reason Russia got caught flatfooted when they invaded Ukraine and found stuff didn't work as advertised.

You've forgotten the Cold War? The places we've fought against Russian supported enemies ... of course, we know those were just us sticking our nose in where it didn't belong. Russian colonialism that played off European colonialism - that didn't exactly make the world a safer or better place either. Without Russia (and China), the world would have been a much nicer place, and we wouldn't have needed to spend all that we did on defense.

Imagine the weeping and gnashing of teeth we would be seeing if Trump would have started a military conflict in a country that he had past business dealings with.
Dude, you live off contradictions and the hypocrisy of western leadership. Fine.

All the while, you support Putin, who literally just stated his INTENTIONS to use nukes by the end of the year.

Wtf is wrong with...?

The United States already has a history of using nukes. Now Russia intends to join them, which literally means if Putin doesn't drop dead somehow, ALL THE WORLD...
Red, blue, communist, capitalist, tribes, insurgent factions, priests etc! Will all be in danger.

How can anyone in their right mind support someone with so little regard for human life.
This is "life style vs life style " anymore dude. Wake the hell up...

In the first Gulf War nobody was more shocked at how well the latest guidance kits and designators worked on the GBUs than the guys that designed them all 😂

There is a big difference between reporting facts and celebrating the Russians. Plenty on twitter and facebook reporting the war going badly for Ukraine. Only on FB but none of the three in field reporters I have followed have been blocked. Same on youtube, plenty of negative reports, losing ground, body counts, lost equipment or risks of cutoffs. Never been blocked or had issues that I have seen.

The reason the source matters at all, to me, is because the western or Ukrainian sources are rightly questioned. But then the russian stuff is posted without comment. How you guys treat the various sources is incredibly different. Volgr finds whatever armchair general generates the best sounding military terms and applies them without any real understanding of what the terms are, but he never will admit that a clear military novice may not know wtf he is talking about. Ras still posts articles that has gaping holes in the logic you could drive a semi through that he blocked me for in the first Ukraine thread. Donjo posts stuff and then just denies it was ever said, or that he didnt fully believe it, but only after the obvious bs has been called out.

Scrutinize and comment on the russian articles as much as you do the western articles and you can preach about the truth.
Volgr is a paid troll..100%

This is the third russian missile posted that I've seen malfunction. There are only three explanations.

1:Russia is holding back and giving thier guys the back catalog they have had in storage for years.

2:Russia is out of ammo while it tries to fab more from stolen goods.

3:It's a fake campaign.

I can't tell you which, but this totally believable.

Is there any chance that we could hack the guidance system and make that happen?
