War in Ukraine

So? What does that mean? That Russia doesn't have the ability to pay? Or that Russia was denied and blocked from paying? Also, what ramifications does that mean if they do default? Who does that hurt: Russia or the bondholders?

They're not able to pay because they are considered a pariah by the civilized countries of the world. That's as bad or worse than not paying because you're broke IMO.
I don't know the ins and outs of world finance but I suspect there will penalties. Probably lowered credit rating and higher interest on future loans.

I think NATO confirmed cyber attacks directed at member states could be used to justify Article 5.

Yeah, They CAN. I doubt they will yet. Lithuania is basically trying to pull NATO in. NATO won't cross that line until it has too. We now have different approches by different countries tho. Russia is attacking it's self on all fronts. Let's see what works.

So this mall is clearly a military target and of strategic importance. I cannot wait for our resident stooges to show up for water carrying duty explaining how this attack was justified. It’s going to be one “Butwhatabout…” dumbass statement after another. 🤡

Russia fired rockets at Ukraine mall containing ‘more than a thousand civilians,’ Zelenskyy says

I actually think it is a miss-fire by Russia more than a serious attempt to bomb it. It shows how incompetent the Russia's military really is. Then again, I doubt Russia cares that much about civilian miss-fires like we do.

So they’re either totally incompetent at executing precision strikes or they’re just indiscriminate murderers of civilians. Fine by me both looks suck.

Since multiple rockets hit the target they hit what they were shooting at. So they suck at target discrimination or intended to hit the mall.

Problem is they can still do business with China and India which have a combined GDP about 3/4 of the USA and growing, not to mention plenty of middle eastern and central american nations. I think we’re hurting ourselves more than we’ve hurt them economically. They are a generation removed from living off beets, potatoes, bread, and reindeer. The last generation of Americans that have any real experience with hardship are the people who lived through the great depression and all of them that are left are over 90. The only way we win this is to go into Ukraine, blast the russians back to their own territory, and hope we don’t start wwiii in the process.

That mall just may have had a sporting goods store - useful to the Ukrainian military ... and clothing. Maybe even track suits that Russians say if they can't have them then nobody else can either. If Ukraine hasn't gone woke like us, there might have even been a toy store selling toy guns that might be used to train the next generation of Ukrainian military. Drones, too - can't forget the potential for drones in stores there. Russians were probably quaking in their boots at all the stuff that mall might have had.

I think you figured it out. If Russians can’t have Adidas track suits then Ukrainians can’t either.
