So they are choosing the most devastating way possible to fight? They "should" be able to easily blitz around, surround the Ukraines, cutting of their retreat and trap them. Pushing block by block drastically increases civilian exposure to violence, and ensures all in the area are affected.

The chosen russian style of fighting ensures it is the bloodiest and longest fight possible. It's all they know, and all they can do with their conscripts. Even you have psuedo admitted as much with the glorifying of the Russian attack on Mauripol vs what we are seeing away from the coasts. Mauripol was left relatively intact, the Russians cut off the defenders and trapped them to a single building. Now we are seeing entire cities get decimated as the two sides duke it out over a No-mans-land.

Gotcha and yes we do. Ukraine is not our emergency. It’s the .gov’s. They have invested billions in that country, a bought government is hard to lose.

You are exactly right... had this been Americans bombing some random 3rd World country, this is exactly the approach we would have taken. No one is arguing that point. However, The Russians could not employ shock and awe in the Donbas because that would mean destroying a bunch of civilian targets and pretty much putting Russian civilian lives at greater risk and plus ringing up a higher price tag once the conflict is over and it is time to rebuild. Again, notice that outside of Mariupol and Severodonetsk/Lysychansk, the remaining portions of Donbas, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson are mostly in tact with all utilities, civilian locations and other civil services in place. Had the Americans been doing this, civil services would have been out in the first 3-4 days and large portions of the country would be in rubble.

The proof is in the pudding. had the Russians not cared about civilian lives, they would have flattened the Donbas in a week. But what good would that have done? Killing a bunch of Russians just to save them? And bombing the area to rubble only for them to have to rebuild everything once it is all over?

But, once the Donbas is taken and the fighting in Kramatorsk is complete, there will really be no obstacles in their way between Donbas and the Dnipro River. If they decide to advance west past that point, you will likely see less care taken.

Fitting that they would make Hollywood comparisons in their propaganda considering that the major players in the Kyiv regime were brought in from a television show. The only thing Ukraine (and The West) is winning is the media war.

It would be much less but the Russian army is handling things with kids gloves as to not cause too much collateral damage to the civilians and infrastructure. These things are super duper important to His Majesty King Putin.

Yeah, but Zerohedge and RT say only five brave soldiers fighting for the Motherland in Putin’s glorious war against the Azov Nazis in Ukraine have died as a result of the treacherous acts of Zelensky and NATO.
