We intervened in the European war AFTER Germany declared war on us. Until then we let England and Russia handle it and charged them for what we sent them.

We can pick sides by SELLING war supplies to Ukraine or the other European countries and not to Russia. If Russia breaks out of Ukraine and threatens the rest of Europe I may reconsider my opinion but right now Russia is not a threat to the US and US taxpayers shouldn't be funding a European war.
