You're the one that asked the question what would Ukraine have done if they possessed nukes. I think it's fair to assume pootin wouldn't have wanted Moscow turned into glass so maybe he would have left them alone instead of trying to annex them militarily. Or maybe being the master strategist that he is, maybe he would have anyway.Likely nothing. It would have obviously been a deterrent. Now what does that hypothetical have to do with the situation we have now?
Show me where I asked that and in what context.
You can call it nuclear blackmail, or call it nuclear weapons being used as a deterent. No different than what the North Koreans are using them for... and likely what Iran would use them for is they ever got a hold of them. And for that matter... going off of comments seen in here over the last 6+ months, what Ukraine would have (allegedly) done had nukes still been in their "possession".
There’s no hypocrisy on my part. I’m on record as being against US military interventionism. I said early in this thread that the US should let Europe solve this issue. What you won’t see me do, as you have done repeatedly, is justify Russia’s bad behavior by pointing out America’s bad behavior. So an ad hominem defense. Cool... But no defense of your hypocrisy.
Yeah, the prime minister. Just noting that it's normal for a leader in that kind of system to be pushed out when he loses the confidence of his coalition in parliament. Not an exact match. Not following you. The prime minister? They are an appointee and generally the head of the majority party aren’t they?
Something Russians struggle with daily. No one is interested in Moscow. No. One.First, I can totally believe they sent a unit out that hit the border, and that russia moved back. Second, Ukraine is not interested in moscow unless they can discreetly take out Putin himself. In that instant, they might, but they will be really, good, shots, about it. All Ukraine wants is Ukraine. They want to be left alone.
Oh that’s one thing I kinda like about the Brit system. They pride themselves on routinely stabbing their chief in the back and throwing him under the bus. We should clean them out more here like that instead of keep them there for 40+ years.Yeah, the prime minister. Just noting that it's normal for a leader in that kind of system to be pushed out when he loses the confidence of his coalition in parliament. Not an exact match.
