War in Ukraine

[
I keep saying it, if Russia wanted actual neutral countries they would have helped sponsor a third party alliance of buffer states with neither the US or Russia involvement. But they didnt want neutral buffer states, they want puppets they can control.

Russia has no way of realistically controlling large foreign lands without the vast majority of the people in those lands to support the action.

NATO isnt a threat.

Obvious observation, clearly the last 6 months has shown otherwise. The mistake Putin made was not keep going in 2014, this allow an acceleration of the creep.

But all this is meaningless i.e. Ukraine will most likely be turned into a parking lot. Problem will solve itself.

The last six months has shown NATO to be necessary. This attempted theft is precisely why these small countries want to join the gang. You, dogo and Ras have an incredibly warped sense of the geopolitical reality's Russias neighbors face.

Remember, Russia invaded Ukraine as a land grab - not because of NATO. Or was it Nazi's? Hard to keep up with the baskin robins number of excuses.

Putin is a thug that got outside of his lane and got smacked, thought Ukraine would roll over like they did with Crimea. He blew it and now has to double down or face removal. He's not showing strength, he's feigning bravado to shore up his personal failures. This mobilization will simply get more of his people killed, faster.

If there was ever a time for those around Putin that don’t want to go down this path, now would be a good time to “demote” your boss.

Probably could be said about the Potato in Chief but you might get thrown in prison without access to an attorney for that.

Better than thrown out a window.

Or hanging from a rope.

The war in the Ukraine is over and has been. The economic war with Europe is at the beginning stage. What goes on in the Ukraine is fairly meaningless, just how many are killed and what the size of the parking lot is.

Your posts are like a fart drifting through a crowded elevator.

These tanks were first introduced in the early 1960s. What a joke.

Large scale advanced conventional weapons have limited use in that region. Which is why the U.S. Congress was questioning all the large scale tanks and personnel carrier procurement in the 90s.

There is no reason to invest in all those weapons.

Mechanized armored vehicles have limited use on flat open terrain?

If forces are directly in the Ukraine sitting on the border it makes it much harder to defend Eastern Russia and Moscow without deploying nuclear weapons on its own turf. It buys space and time.

But at the end of the day, Russia is a nuclear military first, and conventional military second. There is no other defense for Russia against NATO other than to have tactical nuclear weapons as a potential first response.

I'm not sure why everyone is upset, this will all be worked out one way or another. Not really sure what the Ukraine is doing, but ole well, not much I can do about it.

No one is upset. Not sure why you keep throwing this out there. Must be a coping mechanism when you cant give a solid rebuttal.

And you might want to check your cardinal directions, I dont think Vladivostock has too much to worry about Ukraine.

And that nuclear military first thing has really shown up in their invasions of chechnaya, afghanistan, ukraine, their defense of Syria, all their other occupations in the Caucaus's.

NATO isnt a threat. It's all a boogeyman to justify Putin staying in power.

Investing huge money in new equipment that can be taken out with a few tactical nuclear weapons seems rather wasteful. The majority of their equipment is going to be older as investment is in tactical nuclear capabilities.

The irony. You are not listening. Nobody cares what you think, Russia isn't going to stop their strategy because you disagree or don't like it. This isn't complex. LoL

Well, it doesn't matter does it? LoL

NATO isnt a threat.

Clearly Russia disagrees, so the point is moot.

No, the tactical nuclear weapons are primarily for defensive purposes, Russia considers the Ukraine a landing zone for nukes. Which is why the agreements were setup. You clearly are upset as you keep on with the same thing.
Nobody is asking you to agree or like it, you clearly don't. LoL Its all going to work out.

The last 6 months, as well as the Afghan war, has shown NATO will arm people that Russia invades.

But in more than 70 years Russia has not been invaded from the west. For at least the first 10 years NATO had nukes and Russia didnt, so obviously that's not the sole thing keeping NATO down.

This is the longest time of peace, from western invasion, in Russia's history. Clearly NATO is not a threat. It's pure Russian politician bs to say NATO is a threat to them.

China and Russia have fought each other in that time. They should be more worried about the CCP than NaTO

Of course, because of their strategy, which is why creep was being used.

Look, nobody is asking you to agree. The Russians don't agree so your point is moot, nobody cares.

You guys want to argue but there really isn't much to argue about.

Or am I the members of U.S. Congress and U.S. military that has said this exact thing for 25 years? LoL (please see Congressional record) All of this is obvious observations. Russia doesn't have the capability to invest $1-2t on stupid arms like NATO every year, tactical nuclear weapons makes those weapons immaterial at some point.

You serious clark?
