War in Ukraine

It's got nothing to do with strategy. Putin is the butt hurt domestic abuser who is upset that their victim learned they dont have to be a victim and is fighting back. So he has to pull out a gun to what had been a slap fight. Real tough man. Showing the world how it should be done.

Clearly it has everything to do with strategy, which is why you are upset with him. LoL

You don't like it... Russia don't care.

To be honest, I don't know what you are carrying on about. Nobody (Russia) cares what you think about the strategy or whether its a good strategy or bad strategy or no strategy.

So he has to pull out a gun to what had been a slap fight.

Absolutely, that is how you win.

If Russia didn't care, they wouldn't be lying about it 10 times a day.

Russian leadership is insecure and weak. Their "strength" was just an image that all but the most easily duped see through now.

Then explain Putins acceptance of Finland joining NATO. I noticed you cut off that part. Apply this grand strategy to Finland.

I'm not sure what there is to lie about, yes, they will use tactical nuclear weapons if threatened on their border or invaded.

Okay, you go over to the Ukraine and you see how it turns out. Keep running to Moscow and see what awaits.

Its not up to him what Finland does as far as NATO.

You keep making all these arguments, but there is no real argument. Its pure observation. You don't like the strategy. LoL None of this is going to change because you don't like it.

Not sure if SIU is just incapable of making coherent arguments, or if he’s just trying to defend a position for which there are no coherent arguments.

There is no argument. Its observation. The irony of your post. There is no defense, not really, I see the logic of it and of course it works which is why you got all the balking about. But at the end of the day, I don't have to agree with them... its all immaterial.

Me: Its day time out because the sun is overhead.
You bizarro people: We don't like the day time, so that doesn't make sense.
Me: Whether you like the day time or want to call the day time... night time is immaterial. Its still day time.

Your post is the problem... .you are wanting to fight with people i.e. argument. 95%of what I post is pure observation, although I do offer a viewpoint here and there. Whether we have slightly different meanings or definition of things isn't going to change anything.

At the end of the day, most of the people are crying over the strategy.... whether you or I or anyone else likes, agrees, disagrees, etc with the strategy - is immaterial.

None of this is complex, unless one wants to argue for no reason i.e. argument.

See it’s both. Totally incoherent and a really stupid unrelated analogy.

By the same token it's also not up to him what happens to Ukraine.

Apparently the strategy is that Ukraine is the one piece that Russia can not lose. It can lose everything else, but not Ukraine.

If forces are directly in the Ukraine sitting on the border it makes it much harder to defend Eastern Russia and Moscow without deploying nuclear weapons on its own turf. It buys space and time.

But at the end of the day, Russia is a nuclear military first, and conventional military second. There is no other defense for Russia against NATO other than to have tactical nuclear weapons as a potential first response.

I'm not sure why everyone is upset, this will all be worked out one way or another. Not really sure what the Ukraine is doing, but ole well, not much I can do about it.

Are we witnessing the death throes of Soviet-style leadership in Russia? One can only imagine the economic power that could be unleashed by a Russian government that emphasizes globalism rather than isolationism.

It is very possible after this winter you could replace the word "Russia" with "Europe" in your post. Funny, I have been comparing Europe to 1980s USSR, and for good reason.

Calling up 300,000 conscripts causing your military age men booking flights out of Russia in droves was part of the plan all along!

Russia is now threatening to Nuke because his military was exposed and he's feeling the heat.

How many times has this exact sentence been spoken in the 4 decades......3 or 4 at least.
