War in Ukraine

This vid has everything... multiple Russian tanks nailed by Excalibur artillery, cool 30mm tracer fire at night, and suicidal Russian close air support getting boinked.

#Winning

Sure seems like time for Russia to pack up what's left and go home.

Lol @ "Our SOF is 150,000"

Hah..hate to break it to Ivan, they aint the special he is thinking about at 150k.

You saying Russia "special" forces are the short bus brigade? Based on how the rest of the troops are doing, it would be interesting to see the "special" ones in action. Maybe Pootin hasn't committed them for a reason.

Nukes are the 800 pound gorilla in the room. Don't act like it's not there. Both sides talking about the hell it will unleash might it make it less likely to happen IMO.

Exactly. Any country unleashing nukes first (or second for that matter) has already lost.

Ok, is this Crimea? Is this the only land bridge to supply Russian troops there? Why is this such a big deal?

Please excuse my ignorance, I'm just trying to understand the dynamics.

Only bridge that connects occupied Crimea to mainland Russia.

The war has been decided for some time now.

We'll see how long it takes for Russians to recognize this and grow a set of balls to oust Putin.

I really don't think so, but do believe that the military leadership and intelligence arms of the administration are concerned that Putin would do something desperate if this continues, some sort of big show of power. And if you think about it that's what our dropping the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was designed to do -- compel surrender, "or else."
You don't believe this. Putin has been exhibited far more patience than any other world leader out here. For 8 years, he hoped that the Minsk ceasefire agreements would have been implemented. And even when it finally came time to act in February, in stead of coming in like the US would have with shock and awe and leveling the entire country, their SMO is forcing the Russians to fight with restrain as much as possible to avoid too many civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure 7 months into this. Now, if the tempo changes going into winter, Russia could increase the intensity with conventional weapons without any need to go nuclear.

Keep in mind that Russia has no history of using nuclear weapons in a military conflict.
