Yanukovych was democratically elected and if Ukraine chose to do business with both Russia and the West then that is their business. Remember you said it is Ukraine's business how they want to run their country. So what excuse did we have to get involved other than protecting the interests of certain politicians and elitists?
So you have supported the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk all this time? And you support the independence movements of Transnistria, Abkhazia and South Ossetia as well?
Why don't you have an issue with the wealth of the Ukraine actually going into the hands of the Ukrainian people? Do you care about Ukrainian oligarchs and American corporations like Cargill more than you do the average Ukrainian farmer?
And yes I do have a problem with the U.S. sending weapons to a fascist regime. However, some of your pals in here sure as heck don't. They have been bragging about it and cheering for it this whole time. Maybe you can start being more critical of the armchair generals in here who cheer for the death of Russians and wishing for their population to live in the dark ages.
That's 5 questions for you to answer by the way.
Z is democratically elected. After every indication was completing it, Yank broke off the proposed EU association agreement and had jailed former PM Tymoshenko. Ukrainians hit the streets, Yank fled his post - to Russia - and the Uk parliament filled the position until election was held. The lynchpin catalyst was refusing the EU agreement, not McCain/Nuland's preference as to whom filled the post
after Yank fled.
The so-called DLPR is not a petition to secede but a Russian military operation. If the oblasts wish independence, Ukraine has a seat of government and a referendum process. If unsatisfied with referendum outcome, then they can decide whether to revolt or remain Ukraine. If revolt, fine -
follow along here - they can fight the government but that is
Ukraine's internal business. If
Russian oblasts wish to secede, same logic. Got it?
"Oligarchs"...."Nazis"....."Big corporations"....but you don't see how you sound just like the anti-American Marxist left, smh. As if none of your points re: oligarchs, big corps can be applied to Putin's strongarm Russia government, good grief.
Again, the fact is that Ukraine owns Ukraine farmland; it is Ukraine's business how they maximize that resource and their exports balance sheet. Latching onto every straw wind blows by you to make a point is why you often end up talking nonsense. If the basis of your argument sucks, injecting & whining about 'little guy' farmers doesn't augment your position, it makes you appear disheveled, disorganized in thought, and desperate.
And why is the U.S. sending weapons? Because Russia invaded Ukraine in a matter that should have remained Ukraine business. Trump understood this, has condemned the invasion and sent weapons to defend against potential Russian invasion.
By extension isn't Trump a fascist? Is he wrong to have provided defensive weapons against potential Russian invasion? Was he supporting Ukrainian, Polish, CZR "fascism" by supplying them with weapon/missile systems? Was Obama right to not supply these "fascist" countries? Are you seeing the similarities between you and anti-Western left, yet?
That's five questions for you to answer, BTW.
