NATO will begin military drills Practising the use of Europe's nuclear bombs on Monday after Putin warned direct clashes with Russia would spark 'global catastrophe'
NATO is set to start military drills practising the use of Europe's nuclear bombs on Monday after Putin warned direct clashes with Russia would spark 'global catastrophe'.
Its annual nuclear exercise 'Steadfast Noon' will see up to 60 aircrafts take part in training flights over Belgium, the North Sea and Britain.
The nuclear drills - which do not involve live bombs - come after Vladimir Putin said today that a direct clash between NATO and Russian troops would lead to 'global catastrophe'
Belgium is hosting the drills that will involve 14 countries and up to 60 aircraft, including the most advanced fighter jets on the market and U.S. B-52 long-range bombers that will fly in from Minot Air Base in North Dakota, a statement from NATO said

It will have flown for over 100 years before it’s retired from active service. This isn’t like the DC-3 that will fly forever. The DC-3/C-47/R-4D have all been retired from active service while the B-52 will be on active service over 100 years. At least two generations of air crews who have already flow it weren’t even born when it was first fielded.Gotta love the BUFF.
I asked myself this same question. Most of these weapons interface to a standard rail/launch electronic. But that launch electronic still has to interface to the cockpit electronics. I just don’t get it.How do you interface AMRAAMS on Russian designed fighters?
Are they using these as AAM to shoot down Russian fighters or cruise missiles?
Something seems amiss. Maybe ground launched version.SLAMRAAM
Well thanks, I appreciate it.Hey don't put Zep on ignore. He would never do that to you even if y'all disagreed to the bitter end. Don't be a VolMain. You should welcome opinion and disagreement even if you don't like it. Zep will eventually answer. I'm vouching for his character though he doesn't need me to.
I hear this movie prop fooled China..shocker!
That being said whenever the US reveals a new nextgen weapon system rest assured its replacement is already in works.

Yeah I can see both the 130 and 52 being 100+ year service spans. With the updated engines and new props on the J they got extended for another big chunk of time. You have to think the C-47s big limitation was that it appeared before the jet age. It's looking like the C-130 may be the forever cargo plane.

Some of us knew this before the war started. We're labeled anti-Ukraine by the death cultists but our path would have resulted in saving the lives and limbs of 100k+ Ukrainian men.
And Ukraine can't win because they will at best force Russia out, the old borders will remain the same, and it will only be a tie? Ukraine would have to successfully invade Russia for the win?
