War in Ukraine

What are we gaining with the money and material being sent?
We’re removing our second largest geopolitical foe from relevance that’s what. It also adds to security in Europe which thru NATO we’ve agreed to help defend and removes THE major arms exporter for the rest of the countries we wind up crossways with.

It's been well documented the there are Nazis and ultranationalists in Ukraine. I tell you what. I'll be nice enough and provide some more proof for you later. How does that sound?

"Every single democrat voted to send weapons to neo Nazis in Ukraine." Dude, I already agreed that there are Nazis in Ukraine, and I added that there are probably a higher percentage of Nazis in the base of the Republican Party, USA. Ukraine is not governed by Nazis. It is a functional democratic republic, where the people elected a Jewish President. Ding. Ding. Ding. Our aid to Ukraine goes to support efforts of the entire population, against extremely brutal, invading Russian armies. You are parroting Russian propaganda for that invasion. The question is, why?

Anyone with common sense should have known this would happen. Of course LNG shipped across the Atlantic is going to be more expensive than Russian pipeline gas. So instead of the "threat" of Russia using energy as a tool of blackmail and control, it is the US that is engaging in it. They destroyed the Nordstream pipelines that would have been available as an escape route out of these silly azz sanctions, but now, they are at the mercy of the US. Just dumb. Also, from what I understand, these gas purchases of American LNG are on the spot market. So you are also at the mercy of the spot price at that moment vs signing a long term gas contract with the Russians for cheaper and more reliable pipeline gas.

Macron Lashes Out At United States Over Double Standard Energy Policies

To compensate for its declining nuclear fleet and Russia’s complete halt of natural gas shipments into the country, France has turned to the United States for LNG—only Macron is unhappy with the price it’s paying.

U.S. natural gas exports to France increased 421% during the first eight months of 2022—but the value of that LNG increased by 1094% in August alone due to the higher prices of LNG.

Yeah, I don't think our money is doing hardly any of that. Russia wasn't our 3rd geopolitical foe IMO, that would be either India or the EU. I also think China would be THE major arms exporter to our foes around the world.

I do get it and yes I think we should be assisting Ukraine but it should be through intelligence and selling arms to the other European countries which they could give to the Ukrainians. My personal belief is that the vast majority of aid we are providing is just a money laundering scheme enriching a select few around the world and in our own country.

Well we disagree on the money then. And yeah we’re not scheming to fight India or the EU were only scheming for China and Russia on a large scale conflict. Now that’s only China or will be soon.

I’ve never disagreed on the amount of aid we’re committing it’s too much too quickly I think. But as we’ve discussed before I absolutely believe we’re obligated to provide lethal aid and we simply won’t pass up a chance to help somebody finally and correctly do the job Patton tried to get us to do in 1945.

I doubt that we'll ever have a hot war with the EU but believing that they are our allies is foolish. The EU is our economic enemy and we keep feeding them.
