The US/NATO need Russia to use a nuke to get their population behind a western escalation that will likely require boots on the ground as Western boots on the ground is the only thing standing between Russia and victory.

No, the way the Russians have demilitarized NATO, their only real hope is a first strike nuclear exchange. The US, UK and Poland would be 110% down with that.

I’m not, I’ve said from the beginning that this is a European problem and if they want to supply Ukraine with weapons we should be selling to them. Not giving.

I do support the Ukrainians in their fight against the invaders, I hope they demolish the Russian military.

I've actually participated in a couple of Gallup polls. The particular ones I participated in weren't very political. Just questions about lifestyle, income, ect.

The escalation so far has been mostly in strikes on infrastructure. The 300k is just now starting to trickle into positions. If you are worried about rates, you should be worried about the rate Ukraine is losing man and machine in failed offensives around Kherson. THAT is unsustainable.

Like it or not the US, Russia, and China are the three big powers right now, and we are at odds with two of them - and should be. China and Russia attempt worldwide instability and have been doing so for decades. If we can weaken them without a fight of our own, it's a win. We've somehow gained too much "of that lovin' feeling" since the Cold War supposedly became a thing of the past. You are really looking more at a timeout for the other two to get their acts together. The only good news is that while China is building a war machine, Russia is looking inept - but still bent on putting the old Soviet pieces back together again. The bad news is that with nuclear arsenals, either can do incredible worldwide damage; so despite incompetence in some areas, neither is going to just fade away - but they could overplay their hand and face regime change because of issues like the invasion of Ukraine.

Of the 3 countries, which one has the most military bases scattered all over the globe? Which of the 3 has regime changed dozens of countries since WWII (and before that in Latin America)? Which one uses its military to prop up the value of its currency?
