War in Ukraine

Exclusive: U.S. weighs sending 100-mile strike weapon to Ukraine

The Pentagon is considering a Boeing proposal to supply Ukraine with cheap, small precision bombs fitted onto abundantly available rockets, allowing Kyiv to strike far behind Russian lines as the West struggles to meet demand for more arms.

U.S. and allied military inventories are shrinking, and Ukraine faces an increasing need for more sophisticated weapons as the war drags on. Boeing's proposed system, dubbed Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB), is one of about a half-dozen plans for getting new munitions into production for Ukraine and America's Eastern European allies, industry sources said.

GLSDB could be delivered as early as spring 2023, according to a document reviewed by Reuters and three people familiar with the plan. It combines the GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) with the M26 rocket motor, both of which are common in U.S. inventories.

Congrats to what is possibly the dumbest animal on the planet.. the russians, for starting the robot wars. They are now sending in armed robots to the field. View attachment 519208

How is this land-based drone any different philosophically from the air-based drones already widely in use in Ukraine?

It's not some AI-controlled monster. It's a drone that is controlled by humans.

Plus, these are largely intended for the transport of supplies and injured soldiers.

Ursula van der Leyen was quoted today saying that there are 100k Ukrainian military kia.
Looking into it there is a lot of pushback.

1. The original comment was 100k dead military officers. If Ukraine has anywhere close to 1/100th of that dead officers they are in trouble.
2. A further comment tried to clarify that that was total, not just officer, casualties, so wounded, dead, and captured. Not sure that helps.
3. The Ukrainian military claims that number as classified info, so there might be some truth to it.
4. This would still be less than the 120k Russia claimed back in august before the big offensive by Ukraine. So I continue to say the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Imagine your outrage if Ukraine started lobbing artillery and missiles into civilian neighborhoods in Moscow or at power plants.

Can you imagine it? I can.

You'd be frothing out the mouth and seething with anger, calling for the Hague war crime tribunal. And calling the Ukrainians "terrorists."

It'd be hilarious watching you carry the water for Russia if it weren't just so mind numbingly pathetic.

Saw an article the other day where it said three Russian billionaires involved with cryptocurrency had "died" in the last 10 days. Imagine the life expectancy of someone who sold crypto to someone close to Putin.

Interesting that the MSM is pumping crypto stories that all circulate around Russia but no stories at all that involve Ukraine and FTX...

Not really because several have reported what actually transpired on FTX and Ukraine Moe. No money flowed from Ukraine to FTX to buy crypto, rather FTX set up a crypto donation stream for Ukraine. But never let a dip **** patently wrong conspiracy theory interfere with facts and common sense amirite? 🤡

Fact check: No, Ukraine aid wasn’t laundered by FTX and sent to Dems

At this point, there is not much talking that can be done. Winter is coming. European leaders are at each others throats and complaining about us Americans robbing them blind with energy prices and sanctions.
Yes it is Moe. And it’s killing more and more of your invading Russian homies every day.

Who will be more miserable and cold, the Russian soldiers - or the civilians the Russian soldiers are terrorizing?

You must be very proud, comrade.
