War in Ukraine

Russian is not launching sorties. They are lucky to enter Ukraine air space as it is. They are launching ling range rockets "borrowing" from china and n korea. Notice how they don't even eliminate the towns they are intended to eliminate. The buildings are destroyed, but the skeletons still remain. Cheap missles.

I'll tell you what russia has. It is stealing (which is what russia does) gold and diamonds by the TONE from Africa. That is where the war funds are coming from. TONES of gold and diamonds stolen from Africa.

New $2.2B "aid package" in the wings for Ukraine.

More welfare for the MIC...

U.S. Readies $2 Billion-Plus Ukraine Aid Package With Longer-Range Weapons -Sources

One of the officials said a portion of the package, expected to be $1.725 billion, would come from a fund known as the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), which allows President Joe Biden's administration to get weapons from industry rather than from existing U.S. weapons stocks.

The USAI funds would go toward the purchase of a new weapon, the Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) made by Boeing Co, which have a range of 94 miles (150 km). The United States has rebuffed Ukraine's requests for the 185-mile (297-km) range ATACMS missile.

Actually it’s a real life live fire test for GLSDB this is going to be its coming out party. Don’t worry it probably won’t be any more effective than HIMARS

Damn, is there no end to the amount of money we pour into defense contractors? Here's a billion, there's a billion, everywhere a billion. If it shoots, we'll buy it.

Documented evidence? LOL...

That doesn't sound like rock solid proof. I think you even doubt it yourself.

Yes, video evidence exists of the UAF still conducting operational missions even at this point in the war. Ground attack aircraft have been used and the MiGs and Su-27s have been seen launching SEAD ops against Russian air defense sites.

Keep in mind, Trump took money from the Pentagon to help build the wall and these guys were apoplectic.

Trump Administration Diverts $3.8 Billion In Pentagon Funding To Border Wall

The move drew bipartisan criticism, including from the top Republican on the House Armed Services Committee, Texas Rep. Mac Thornberry.

"The wall should be funded, but the funding must come through the Department of Homeland Security rather than diverting critical military resources that are needed and in law," Thornberry said in a statement.

What do you mean by "even at this point"?

I meant that we're almost at the close of the first year of the war and Ukrainian combat aircraft are still flying combat missions. Russia's failure to secure air superiority and eliminate Ukraine's air defense network in the first hours and days of the war ranks pretty high on their list of failures.

Sure.

Now keep in mind, Kyiv is the one begging for aircraft and tanks, not Russia.

Surely a nation that is fighting for its very survival and started the war with even less equipment then the Russians have wouldn't ask for more equipment, no of course not.

Also keep in mind the Russians are digging out T-62s from deep storage to press into the fight.

And they’re doing it 320+ days after they shouldn’t have even been around to make the request had the “most powerful army in Europe” been able to live up to their billing. But Russia is still Ukraine’s #1 arms supplier so that’s a good thing.

Don’t forget the T-34’s from Laos and artillery rounds from North Korea!

They likely are doing that. No different than Ukraine being given leftover Mig-29s and other Soviet equipment last year and leftover NATO equipment now.

Why should Russia burn through all of their new stuff now when they can save their new stuff for the big one?
