Don't have time to listen right now but I guess its another, "Peace in our Time" discussion. Well that only works for a time until you are forced to fight the bully and by the time you do he's been in the weight room for several years.

Will you let Neville Chamberlain rest in peace and stop these ridiculous comparisons?

Using that logic, there would be no room for ANY negotiations or peace talks anywhere at anytime.

What is ridiculous about it? Hitler used the protecting ethnic Germans and reuniting lost German lands just as Putin is using the same to justify his expansionism. However to your point, you can't negotiate with the man holding a gun to your family's head. How can you have talks with a nation that doesn't even consider you a sovereign country?

probably because they fought the Russians. just like we celebrate our FF even though they were slave owners, and massacred the natives. No nations history is clean, and usually our heroes are only the heroes because they won.

meanwhile you want to celebrate Russian's who killed equal numbers of Ukrainians, like Catherine the Great. whose efforts to make more of the empire Russian included killing hundreds of thousands, including Ukrainians.

yeah except this bully has started the weight program while you are trying to get out of the hospital bed. it would be worse for everyone if you get involved before you are even healthy, yet alone in shape. It takes time for your own guys to get into the weight program.

The Allies COULD NOT have fought Germany in 1936. France got taken out in 6 weeks in 1940, with 4 years to prep, trying to defend their own territory. Russia was in the same boat, they couldn't handle the Finns in 1939, how were they going to stand up to Germany?

I keep saying it this is WW1, not WW2. Other nations are getting involved into a regional conflict between an old power and one of their old vassals. Entangling alliances are going to drag more and more nations into the fight, and millions will die. And at this rate we are setting up for the same intra-war issues of a bad peace leading to a worse conflict in the near future. We need to be extremely careful about the terms of peace at the end of this conflict.

hey Ras, can you tell me what Bandera was doing from 1941 to 1944, and why? Since you know how much he worked with the Nazi's you should be able to fill in some information from what he was doing for the majority of the war.

For everyone else, its worth the google if you want a good laugh about Bandera being a Nazi, because Ras and crew are going to duck this question HARD.

*just to be clear, not saying Bandera is a good guy. Just pointing out the huge, gaping, obvious hole in the argument he was a Nazi.

Appeasement, does not work. It didn't work in 1999 when Russia invaded Chechnya. It didn't work in 2008 when Russia invaded Georgia. It didn't work in 2014 when Russia invaded Ukraine.

In your analogy, the person holding the gun is the Kyiv regime that took over in the 2014 coup. The family are the Russian speaking/Russian sympathizing people in eastern Ukraine over the past 8 years.

Had there been no Treaty of Versailles and the breaking up of Germany and Hungary, there would not have been a Hitler or WWII. But again, the Euros fall in love with sanctions and redrawing maps.

George Washington said it best about leaving the Euros on their own because they always get into these petty beefs. They don't need any help from us coming across the Pond adding more fuel to the fire.

Half of these people are too far gone in this thread with the propaganda on both sides to bring them back. They sound like hacks with their blindspots. The group think is hilarious to watch. Meanwhile China is ramping up in the East as a real threat while they are choking on Russia/Ukraine.
