War in Ukraine

Giant Russian clusterf*ck armored banzai charge in Bakhmut

Scratch 3 T-80s and 3 IFVs. Cope cages and all.

Hard to say for certain what happens here, but initially appears the lead vehicles hit numerous mines. Then the lead tank again hits more mines and tosses its treads. Then, I thought the lead tank got hit by artillery or a Javelin. Wrong. Look at 1:14 sequence... the rear Russian tank actually seems to fire a round that hits its own lead tank. Oops.

Later at 1:30 after the IFV troops have dismounted.. in come Ukrainian cluster munitions.

And, oh BTW, these were Ukrainian National Guard troops defending.

"Second army of the world" at work.

US Department of Defense struggles to meet requirements related to Ukraine war

The Pentagon's attempts to resupply its own arsenal, which has been badly reduced by its backing for Ukraine, have been impeded by a shortage of raw materials, especially the explosive TNT, that the United States no more produces. Since losing its manufacturing partner Zarya when the area where the manufacturing facility was based opted to join Russia in the previous year's referendum, Washington has been looking for new suppliers, particularly in Japan. Washington now sources the majority of its TNT from Poland.

You know who's armed forces are a sh*t ton better off right now than Russia's? The good ol USA.

Cannon fodder... they actually factored in heavy Ukrainian losses going into this offensive.

Yes, in order to defend themselves from Russian aggression via invasion and Ukraine wanted to defend itself there would be a huge cost.

The mental gymnastics hidden behind clever wording do not change that fundamental truth.
