I think we'll see an end once Trump enters office.
Frozen lines. End of fighting. Some sort of European-based security guarantee for Ukraine. But at a huge cost to Russia. It'll be years before they can try to invade some other shithole.
As odd as the take may be, I have a little faith that Trump can turn things around and find peace. I don't like the snub the enemy mentality of the Democrats and I don't think Trump goes for that either. I think Putin will talk to Trump and they will come up with something.
Trump is going to hit Russia with the threat of supplying all the gas to Europe and frankly could try to undercut Russian gas trade with China and other nations. Basically hit Russia in the pocket book.
At the same time, I think Trump knows that he has to give something to Putin to save Putin's face in front of his people. I am not sure what that will be. One theory is that Ukraine will give up land but I think that is going to be a hard sell to Ukraine.
Russia has been arming people to kill Americans for the last 80 years.
Hell, they flew MIGs in Korea and shot down US pilots, and operated SAMs in Vietnam, and shot down our pilots there too.
Giving Ukraine weapons to defend themselves it not an escalation.
Watching modern Republicans fall all over themselves with fear over "nuclear super power" Russia, is a real trip.
I know you are what am I? This is not a strategy. My fear is nuclear war yes. If it isn't yours then everything I have suggested or thought about you is true. Assuming President Biden and the forever war machine doesn't do something stupid and give Ukraine nuclear weapons, the next 4 years is not going to be financially advantageous for you and your fellow Neocons. Give my best to John Bolton

Is this "nuclear war" that you are afraid of, in the room with us now?
A Timeline of Russia’s Nuclear Threats Against the West
While Russia frequently accuses the West of escalation, we look at all the times Russia has made nuclear threats against the West.united24media.com
Yes, Russia is weaker. Was it worth it? You'd have to ask the ones that have seen their loved ones and comrades die on both sides. I find it hard to believe it was worth it for Russia, but when the Ukrainians fought back so fiercely they were roped into bloody trench warfare. Was it worth it for Ukraine? Maybe...depends on how much of that country survives I guess. It needs to end. The longer it goes the bigger the chance the conflict spreads and escalates. This potential nuclear war is 54 days from its end. And regardless of how Britain, France, Germany, and the US want to "weaken" Russia, the blood of every dead Ukrainian is on our hands. I ask was it worth it? Is Russia weaker?

It does need to end. But Trump can't force Ukraine simply to give up territory simply to appease Putin.
Remind me, is it Britain, France, Germany, and the US that have invaded a European country and leveled nuclear threats against anyone who has helped that country?

You know, if Russia doesn't want to be 'weakened' by continuing to prosecute a war of conquest that is expensive in terms of both men and materials, they could just cease to prosecute that war, right?

The question I asked a year ago (and got no answer) was "how much are we willing to spend to help Ukraine win this war?" What is our limit? We can't continue this indefinitely
LolRussia is not weakened. And stop with the gaslighting. It is the above countries that demanded a president (of Ukraine) not accept any peace deal and that he "suspended" any elections until the war is over.
Lol
8.5% inflation.
21% interest rate.
28% mortgage rate.
Worthless currency.
Sovereign Wealth Fund Raided.
Commercial airlines in shambles.
700k casualties.
650k war emigres.
No one demanded Ukraine not accept the "agree to be occupied" deal by Russia. They chose not to so do for obvious reasons.
Zelensky is literally following the Ukrainian constitution when it comes to not holding elections under martial law.
