Just how certain are you that the Ukrainians (or a significant number of them) are going to go against the Russians? You were one of the main ones criticizing Biden for his exit in Afghanistan and how the weapons ended up being transferred from the Afghan force we had been training to the Taliban. You are setting yourself up for a similar type of disappointment in Ukraine if the Russians end up with a cache of US weapons. Yet another reason we don't need to be engaging or involving ourselves in a regional conflict halfway around the world.I’m actually ok with giving away some Javelins, anti personnel mines, Ma Deuces, few crates of M-4 carbines, etc… since I do think the Ukrainians will fight to defend their country and turn a good bunch of invading Russians into worm food.

With people profiting from armaments and their development, there will inevitably be the push for more weapons...
President Dwight Eisenhower’s farewell address of Jan. 17, 1961, is just as relevant today as back then. Ike warned American citizens of the “military-industrial complex” and the dangers it presented to our nation and the world.

Another Farewell Address... this one from George Washington.
The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible. So far as we have already formed engagements, let them be fulfilled with perfect good faith. Here let us stop. Europe has a set of primary interests which to us have none; or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies, the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns. Hence, therefore, it must be unwise in us to implicate ourselves by artificial ties in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics, or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her friendships or enmities.
Fears and fighting spirit of a nation in Kremlin crosshairs: IAN BIRRELL reports from inside Ukraine as experts warn Russian invasion is imminent
By IAN BIRRELL IN KIEV FOR THE DAILY MAIL
Oksana Lanskaya, a mother and successful Ukrainian food entrepreneur, admits being scared now that Russian military forces have encircled her nation and the threat of war grows stronger.
As at least 100,000 Russian troops mass on the border, the frozen food business the pregnant 35-year-old runs with her husband has just opened two new outlets.
'As a business owner, I need to plan ahead – I have a production line, stores, supplies, deliveries. But what if Russia invades Ukraine tomorrow?'
Like many families in Kiev, Oksana has friends who lost everything when they fled their homes in 2014 as Vladimir Putin annexed Crimea and stirred up separatist insurgency in eastern Ukraine.
'Should I just close my business now and sell everything while it's still not too late?' she asked.
No-one outside the Kremlin can answer that question. But this fretful woman shows how the mood in Kiev is growing worried with a majority of Ukraine's 44million population believing an attack seems likely and citizen militias preparing for guerrilla warfare against invading forces.
'Ukraine has little chance against Russia. Our soldiers will fight but they will be outnumbered. Also, the West will not go at war with Russia over Ukraine.

IAN BIRRELL: Ukrainian forces are substantially stronger and better equipped - boosted by Britain's supply of short-range anti-tank missiles for self-defence and some troops to provide training. Military analyst Yuriy Butusov said support from the UK was significant, adding: 'Putin has to face the facts. London showed Moscow that in the event of full-scale hostilities, Ukraine will be provided with emergency assistance with weapons.'

How do we know it doesn't work? We haven't tried isolationism in over 100+ years. And hell, since I've been alive, we've been in a constant state of war since 1990, nearly 60% of my life, not counting the tail end of Vietnam.During Washington’s time you could get by with not getting involved. The days of oceans protecting us are over. Like or not we have a role in maintains international stability. I used to be like you in being isolationist but it doesn’t work any more.
Also... noticed you didn't comment on Eisenhower's comments. I guess we are going to say times were different in 1961 than they are now with regards to that?During Washington’s time you could get by with not getting involved. Germany looking out for their own self-interests. They know that they need Russian energy and Nord Stream 2.German Chancellor appeases Putin and obstructs Western efforts to defend Ukraine as he refuses to send weapons to Kiev's forces and takes soft stance towards Russia
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has been accused of weakening Europe by refusing to take a hard line on Russia despite warnings that Putin is about to invade Ukraine.
Scholz, who took the job from Angela Merkel last month, has tried to maintain his predecessor's warm relations with Moscow by refusing to supply Kiev with arms and ruling out sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 gas line if an attack goes ahead.

There remain, among supposedly enlightened Western thinkers, many fools who would accept the annexation of Crimea to avoid the annexation of Ukraine, and then the invasion of Ukraine to prevent an invasion of the Balkans, followed by the subjugation of the Balkans to ward off the Finlandiza-tion of the Baltic states, the neutralization of Poland, and even the placing under Russian tutelage of the great states of Western Europe. This is all reminis-cent of the appeasement that produced the 1938 Munich Pact.
I’m pretty damn certain that’s how much. And if they’re willing to use them he’ll yes let’s arm them and see what kind of body count they can rack upJust how certain are you that the Ukrainians (or a significant number of them) are going to go against the Russians? These MIC/CIA/State Department/globalist/bankster entities are the enemy of mankind and I hope they fail miserably.
