No survivors long term in a full out nuclear exchange between Russia and the US.Well, now that depends on the wind patterns.
And China can afford to lose a couple hundred million and still be stronger than everyone else.
Some of these people have a video game mentality when it comes to nukes. You can't just hit pause or turn the game off. Billions of lives are at stake.Because Europe is expendable?
No offense to the Europeans, but if Putin executed a tactical strike of say 50 Kt on a military target not in a populated area, would we up the ante by striking more than one target of our own knowing the explosions would grow to the east and west?
Nuclear brinkmanship is not an easy political play regardless of who's in the White House or the Kremlin. Where does it stop once it starts?
Would the Southern Hemisphere be livable? No survivors long term in a full out nuclear exchange between Russia and the US.
Every continent would be contaminated and life will cease to exist everywhere if not in a few months then less than 5 years. The system would collapse for the survivors including food and water.
And you guys call me crazy...You guys think I'm lying, but during the presidential election I was on twitter in contact with all the presidents and political writers, and even top news broad casters. I knew i was getting attention and would be checked. I didn't care because I was having civil discourse and had never done anything wrong. Just an average American discussing politics. So I get into a discussion about Russia and Putin with someone high ranking (not going to divulge), and suddenly twit goes a little wierd, and I can tell someone is snooping around. I knew I'd be checked, no big deal. Next thing I know I can wright like 500 word tweets if I want, and I'm like... ok this is getting weird. Then I get this message, and it was obviously russian. "Why don't you tell me more about your views on russia and putin."
I told him strait back "I am not stupid and I know who you are."
Then I hit delete.
Wouldn't work for some people...When you come out of your shelter, it's going to be a moonscape. You're going to have to plant crops in soil of uncertain quality. If you want meat in your future you're going to have to keep several mating pairs of something (I always thought rabbits).
I live about 15 miles downwind of a primary target...
Not sure I'm worried about that.
I am usually faster than spellcheck and consider it an asset for security.
I don’t think it would long term. Saw a similar video about the nuclear winters which would occur for a few years after a full scale attack.
