War in Ukraine

That may all be true, but sanctions only aggravate the situation by removing even more items off the market.
The items in question (wheat primarily) were already removed from the market because no Ukrainian farmer is going to go work his fields in the middle of an invasion. War causes agricultural calamity. You can’t sanction something that isn’t being grown in the first place

What's the take on Russia's request for China to provide arms? Personally, I think it benefits China to sit this one out and then make Russia a dependent state after they lose in Ukraine.

What could China supply that Russia doesn't already have? I certainly don't believe China would sent troops. I think the story is false. Of course I haven't been right about anything since the invasion started.

I'm talking about Russian wheat being removed with the sanctions.

China probably has a deeper supply of spines and intestinal fortitude than apparently the Russians currently have. Or maybe the Russians have a conscience that they need to sell to China? 🤷‍♂️

The concern I saw was about fertilizer prices and availability in other parts of the world.

The Russians will have little or no wheat to export anyway. They will need their entire harvest to replace the wheat they WOULD HAVE imported from Ukraine if they hadn’t invaded. Russia does not have the capacity to feed itself without Ukrainian agriculture, much less export any imaginary surplus

I have zero knowledge of the world's wheat market, but given that it's not yet spring, won't there be adequate time for the other wheat producing countries to up their output to compensate? Or do Russia and Ukraine supply such a substantial portion that it came be replaced?

Putin claims that Russia is self sufficient in terms of food production but I don’t believe it. Russia actually produces slightly more wheat than Ukraine. But Ukraine’s contribution to the world wheat supply still ranks at number 5 I believe. It has historically been Russia’s breadbasket

Its gotten to the point where calling someone a "Russian" is like calling them the n-word or "the unvaccinated". You guys have a way of getting people riled up for 2 Minutes of Hate...
That's been part of the democrat agenda if you all the way back to when the party was first formed. It wasn't quite like that as much in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s. But their obsession for hating groups of people began again probably around the time the tea party was formed. And there's been their never ending obsession with Fox News since about 2012.

Hate seems to be a regular part of their agenda now. Since 2016 it has been Trump, Trump supporters, unvaccinated people, people who protested the mask wearing, doctors and scientists who don't go along with their agenda, and now Russian people. And let's not forget their constant obsession with wishing people be censored. Did I miss anything?

My take is that this, along with them dragging in Belarus, Chechnya, Syria, etc. is evidence that the entire "operation" has gone off the rails.
