Is Romney in the Senate? YES
Was McCain ever removed from the Senate? NO
Is Cheney still in the house? YES

I’m sorry, what exactly was your point again?
(Cheney WILL be removed soon but it is because she has basically effectively switched parties, not because of merely criticizing Trump, you don’t cozy up to Pelosi 24 x 7 and get to remain in the party)
My point was exactly that the repubs shun and try to eliminate anyone who does not toe the Trump line. I thought it was obvious.

That's fair and IF the 2019 comment was STANDING ALONE I might agree with you.

But just prior to the invasion he was arguing in favor of Putin's logic.

(Above from Vanity Fair, but accurate as I've seen video of all of them).

Then this:

At least four times this week, Russian news reports have featured translated clips of Tucker Carlson or his guest Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democratic U.S. representative…. At 8 p.m. on Sunday, a primetime review of the week’s news presented by Dmitry Kiselev, a bombastic Putin favorite, featured remarks from the opening monologue of Carlson’s February 17 show, in which the American commentator trashed Ukraine’s government.

An hour later, the evening news program on Russia’s main state television channel used a longer excerpt from the same Carlson monologue and shaped its own report to amplify the Fox News host’s attack on a Democrat. In the original Fox News broadcast, Carlson had suggested that Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee who worked to arm Ukraine with Javelin anti-tank missiles, was only doing so because of donations from American defense contractors like Raytheon.

On Wednesday night, just hours before Putin ordered the attack on Ukraine to begin, two excerpts from Carlson’s most recent program were featured in Russian state television’s 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. news broadcasts…. Carlson’s comments were so welcome in Moscow that an excerpt from that rant with Russian subtitles was quickly produced by the Russian-language service of RT, the government-funded network formerly known as Russia Today.

Consider this:

“Kamala Harris encouraged Ukraine to become a member of NATO. Quote, ‘I appreciate and admire President Zelenskyy’s desire to join NATO,’” Carlson began, selectively quoting one sentence from the vice president’s lengthy remarks at a news conference in Munich, Germany, on Feb. 20.

“Message: Up yours, Vladimir Putin, go ahead and invade Ukraine,” Carlson continued. “And, of course, Vladimir Putin did that just days later. So the invasion was no surprise to the Biden administration. They knew that would happen. That was the point of the exercise.

“We watched all this happen, we missed it. How? Honestly because it was insane and therefore very hard to take seriously. Why in the world would the United States intentionally seek war with Russia? How could we possibly benefit from that war? We still don’t know the answer to that question.”

Well, the reality may well be that Ukraine is and has been a puppet of the USA. I mean, Biden himself did go there and tell them either fire the AG of the country in the next few hours or they would not get $1b of US tax payer money - and they did. Then there is the bit that Hunter Biden has gotten millions from Ukraine (to be fair, for all I know he may have been getting it from Russia too though). That makes things kind of suspicious as to our motives, right or wrong.

Candidly, when Trump came in, I was hopeful that there could be a good relationship with Putin and we could draw Russia permanently out of the cold and turn them against China. All the Dems complete bulls**t about pee tapes etc basically made that impossible. They committed crimes to do that. Mind you, the Clinton foundation has gotten MILLIONS AND MILLIONS from Russia but that was in the past. Point is, because of domestic squabbles between Dems and Gop, we missed a critical opportunity to turn Putin into a quazi ally.

Reality is that we have been meddling in Ukraine for some time. Again, not something I have a problem with as long as it benefits us. We used to topple govs right regularly in the past. Then you have rich guys like Soros who are also meddling - not necessarily always on the same page as the USA, though now his people are deeply embedded into our state dept.

Mind you, at the same time, Biden said he would punish a MAJOR incursion into the Ukraine - a gaff most likely when he was off his meds and one of those rare times his wife wasnt directing him by the hand. So between that and Kamala's ineptness, perhaps Putin thought he could get away with it. He clearly misjudged the intelligence - likely because his staff lied to him.

Again, right now, the USA has no reason to go to war with Russia - Ukraine was not exactly a super ally before all this. That said, it does not benefit the USA for Russia to succeed in annexing Ukraine either. We are playing a dangerous game, however, in that we may end up permanently sealing the Sino Russia relationship and totally reinvigorating the Russia India one (when we REALLY REALLY needed India to be a commercial bulwark against China). Oh - and more than that, with that rumbling coming out of the Saudis, there is the possibility that we could lose the petro-dollar and a huge part of the world could turn against the dollar as the reserve currency and that would totally Fk us proper like almost nothing else. Our economy would utterly collapse if we had to borrow in another currency to fund the MASSIVE deficit spending we are doing with the Chinese.

We are being played for fools - perhaps winning a knight but losing the game to China.

New Iran Nuclear Deal Will Create ‘Sanctions Evasion Hub for Putin,’ Experts Say

A new nuclear deal will create a "sanctions evasion hub for Vladimir Putin based in Iran," according to a new policy brief circulating around Capitol Hill and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

With a nuclear deal likely to be announced in the coming days, the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), a think tank critical of the agreement, says a new deal will allow Putin to circumvent tough Western sanctions that have been put in place since Russia invaded Ukraine.

"Policymakers should understand why this deal will establish a sanctions evasion hub for Vladimir Putin based in Iran—dramatically undermining international attempts to halt Russia's invasion of Ukraine and deter further aggression," according to the document, which FDD has furnished to lawmakers in the House and Senate. "In addition to looking for a sanctions-free channel for trade, Russia might use this opportunity to learn from Iran’s decades of sanctions circumvention expertise and better prepare to offset future financial pressure from the West."

The policy brief could help derail an agreement before it even goes into effect. Republicans in the House and Senate have already threatened to dismantle the deal and ensure that Iran does not get massive sanctions relief promised by the Biden administration. A majority of Republican leaders in both chambers warn that any deal reached without congressional approval will be dead on arrival. The information about how Russia will be able to use Iran as a hub for its sanctions-busting activities is likely to strengthen Republican opposition, particularly as Moscow wages an unprovoked war in Ukraine that has isolated its economy from the international banking system.

Alexa, how many times can one man shoot himself in the foot?

Which western company is gonna do business in Russia when all this is over (at least while Putie Pie is in power)?

You dont get it do you? They are not going to do business with us anymore - it is all going to go to India and to China (and Iran). Almost everything we have now is made in China anyway.

Far too many shortsighted Americans just think that we can just get finished products out of the local Walmart. They have no idea about the economic consequences of what these sanctions will be.

China and Iran seem like natural Russian allies with dictators supporting each other. India working with Russia seems more like economic opportunism and not as strong as an alliance.

It was going to happen anyway. Just a matter of time. We're to busy pushing the climate/green agenda at home while developing nations pollute at record rates.

So is it TRY to eliminate or is it eliminate. The obvious point is that no one has yet lost an elected office because of opposition to Trump. So the “big tent” still stands. I don’t understand the left always going on about Trump fans purging Republicans when so far, they are batting 0%. Sounds like a pretty weak faction to me.
I guess the Trump followers have about the same success rate as Vol Teams winning National Championships

I am pretty positive that the amount of money I have spent on products produced in Russia in my entire lifetime is probably under $10.

But then again….Ukraine has definitely had the better Eurovision entries overall. Including this absolute MASTERPIECE

Where in the heck did I make the claims that anyone can go from a job like a server to a VP.

Those jobs you mentioned are just as important and as skilled as being a law enforcement officer. Maybe you should be more thankful next time you get a discounted meal when you go out to eat.

Show me proof that business have free reign to just do whatever they want. They can't do "whatever" they want or "do as they please". So stop making stupid claims like that.
I’ve not been a law enforcement officer in 15 years as I’m a VP in healthcare but there is more skill and knowledge in an officer than a server. To say otherwise is simply lunacy. You can’t be taken seriously when you spout crap which you know nothing about.
businesses can tell the employee what to do in order to work there and to say otherwise is not living in reality. You have no right to a job. You know that right?
