No, I'm not "now asserting", I have always asserted Russia has a legal justification for their invasion. The same legal justification, broad interpretation of self defense, as the US uses. How is that not clear? My 5th grader easily understands this concept.

It's pretty clear Putin wants to "denazify" the Jews from Ukraine because they attacked russia and killed thousands While grabbing russia as a country and shipping all thier people back to Ukraine because the US goes around invading other countries and leaves them in a pile of rubble for no reason. Get on the same page people.

Then you're intellectually bankrupt. Whether you like it, Ukraine is a sovereign country that is NOT invading Russia and IS fighting Russian separatists sponsored by Putin to tear off another chunk of Ukraine that doesn't wish to be Russian.

Get your 5th grader to explain that to you.

Putin being justified and calling him virtuous is not remotely the same. Also, he didn't bomb a maternity hospital and he is only bombing near residential areas because Ukraine military is using civilians as human shields. Plenty of videos of Ukrainians pleading with Ukrainian military to move their installments away from civilian areas.

Why bomb at all? Are Russian troops as inept at street level door kicking as they are at maintaining logistics trains?

Protest his country from what exactly? Hurtful memes and women armed with WW2 era weapons? He doesn’t want Ukraine in NATO and thinks it’s his decision to make. It isn’t but the last time I checked they aren’t in NATO

Ask your 5th grader if the U.S. was right to go into Iraq.
- "Since the premise of WMDs was wrong, it was not an invasion premised on legal grounds, right?"

Now ask them if Russia is right to invade Ukraine.
- "Aren't both invasions wrong, Dad?"

No thanks necessary for this lesson in critical thought or now being smart as a 5th grader.

When you think back over the last 10 to 20 years of the US's role in this region, which is hard for most of you to do, it really is stunning how inept and incompetent the Obama foreign policy team was and still are. He really was a total failure on all fronts. One of our worst Presidents.

No disagreement here. Still doesn’t justify Putin’s actions. You can’t excuse bad behavior by pointing out other’s bad behavior.
