Was Lofton really better than Redick?

McRoberts makes the list too. He's neck and neck with Redick. I don't really have anyone else that I dislike similarly, although I'm admittedly not a Hurley guy either.

McRoberts and Paulus are really it for me. Obviously #11 is my all time favorite. Had no problems with Redick, he was weird, but played his butt off and did a lot with his talents.

Hello, hello is there anybody out there? I think this thread comparing Reddick to Lofton is like apples and oranges. Anybody playing for Duke is automatically considered the elite and Reddick was that good in college!! I think I remember Loftin stepping up his game and started taking it to the hole his junior year instead of just being a catch and shoot guy. That is what was so dissappointing about the cancer and his senior year. He was basically inactive going through radiation treatments. Try that and play college ball.

Very valid point, but I think the senior class was weak and no underclassmen get the media hype for a POY trophy, with Durant being an exception to the rule..
Still befuddles me that Michael Beasley wasn't another exception to that rule.

I just don't think his team won enough and Hansbrough's media advantage was just too large.

I'm on record right now saying that UNC would have been better had the two swapped teams, while KSU would have been reasonably worse.

Reddick was a one-trick pony. He couldn't create, couldn't pass and wasn't clutch. He was great behind the arc and at the line. Possibly the most overrate college player. Ever. Switch places w/ the two and Dook gets better. Not only that, Dook is ruined since K fell in love w/ the three.

funniest post... ever.

not a shred of truth to it. Duke is ruined when McRoberts turned out to be a flop. and he's had the three for all of his titles.

Dook gets better because the defense would have gotten worse and Lofton would have drawn fewer fouls? Maybe I don't get it.

Do you really think Duke has philosophically changed its approach from the one that won them 3 titles? Think maybe it has something to do with personnel? Hmmm, tough stuff.

I was talking about Tony.

i'm honestly lost. The only Tony Kubek (not Koubek) I know about played baseball. And I only know about him because one of my old bosses knows just about every Yankee to ever play the game.

back on topic, I think it will be interesting to see what K can do with little brother Plumlee coming in next season for Duke. Also, I've seen multiple listings for Ryan Kelly at 6'10 1/2". I don't pay a great deal of attention to recruiting, but I find it hilarious such a tall guy is listed in half inches.

was a joke because I called Zoubek Koubek for some otherworldly reason.
