Washington to hire Chris Peterson

yeah, he ran scared of everyone while scheduling at Boise.

I didn't like the Boise love and I agree that their conference schedule sucked... i've voiced that opinion repeatedly... but you have no reason to say that.

He didn't schedule that many tough games and you could argue he only scheduled the ones he did purely so they could have a chance to play for titles because the conference is so weak.

He could have had any job he wanted a couple of years ago. Including Tennessee. And he picks Washington?

lol @ the weather sidebar throughout this whole thread.

Seattle is gorgeous. I love Seattle and Vancouver, and I'd love to live in either. I've always heard that the east Washington area is America's best kept secret.

As for Petersen being afraid of big boy football, I'm pretty sure that he challenged every school to play Boise in a home-home. Most schools opted out because it was a win-win for Boise even if they lost. I'm pretty sure Mike Hamilton even talked about Tennessee dodging that offer.

They weren't in the minority either, tons of ADs felt the same way.

Washington made a great hire, Petersen is a great coach. We will see as everything unfolds that he's a better coach than Sark and more than a "gimmick."

Apparently Boise is interviewing Arkansas State head coach Bryan Harsin today. Harsin is from Boise, went to school there, and coached there as an assistant for 10 years.

If Harsin left, then Arkansas State will be stuck looking for their 5th coach in 5 years.

Because he doesn't want to put up with all the bull**** that comes with a lot of big time jobs. He just wants to coach football. He can do that at Washington, which by the way is a great place to coach.

Arkansas State should go after a high school coach so that way nobody will hire him for a while.

Oh wait...
