Apparently WSU prohibited exemptions. Although the city of Seattle reportedly granted about 800 exemptions for folks. So it just depends of who grants the exemptions. Sounds like the exemption process is run about as smoothly as SEC officiating...
They did not. There was an application process and he wasn't granted the waiver.

He’s referring to it’s not needed in terms of it’s an unnecessary mitigation protocol for the vast majority of society. You’re moving the goalposts in comparing this to any other generic company policy. Outside of the military, I doubt any company has ever implemented a policy that pertained to personal health decisions/lifestyle choices.
I got x-rays in the 70s mandated for my part-time job unloading railroad cars. At my last job, despite having gotten a yearly physical by my personal internist for 25+ years, I was required to get a separate physical by a "company approved provider" including bloodwork/urine/etc to be eligible for insurance.

SEVERAL jobs and certainly schools have required vaccines for decades like MMR.

This is hardly a new situation.

These coaches walked away from millions of dollars because they didn't want to take a vaccine that has been given multi-million times worldwide with very very few issues. Sure, it's a choice, but it's a multi-million dollar bad choice.

`Here I was knowing JG would get him fired. Going for a three peat.....
Only thing I can figure is he must be planning entering politics.
Hard to walk from a 2 million dollar a year gig.
Quality forgeries are available for a fraction of that.
Twisted moral standards are twisted.

Without an MD and/or advanced degree in immunology you wanna go against a state with multiple MDs and immunologists?

Lemme guess, you heard stuff on the internet.......

Jeez. So did you get your coaching info from the non-mainstream coaching circles also?

I don’t really care about the my body, my choice movement that’s going on with the vaccine right now. I just won’t get it, because people are trying to publicly shame people into getting it. I don’t care if it’s the best vaccine ever made. Once somebody try’s to shame me into doing anything, I’ll do the exact opposite. I do what I want, when I want, and if that pisses you off go move to a more authoritarian country. If people actually wanted me to get it for my own health benefit, then I would, but public shaming is just a big turn off. I rather give you the middle finger, than do what you want because it fits your political agenda. Also I’m 24, and I don’t know of a single friend that’s died with this. I have some older family members who have, but I gotta be honest they were on their way out anyways. Covid doesn’t scare me and as far as I’m concerned this is the lefts 9/11. The right back in the day fear mongered using terrorist, now the lefts taking that same play book with covid. The right lost the culture doing that, and I think the left is fully on its way into doing the same.

How about 12000 doctors who have signed a suit for crimes against humanity for the hazardous effects of the vaccine? That good enough to satisfy you clown shoes?

According to CDC. Deaths due to C19 for ages 18-29 = 3,888. Incidentally, deaths from pneumonia for same age range = 3,622.

Top-down policies are problematic. Especially ones regarding health promotion.

Interesting and confusing time we live in now. Personal choice vs. being told what to think/do. Seems like it was just last year that we were told not to trust the vaccine by those pushing the vaccine now. Seems this far into it the way of the world has spoken. Get the vaccine, great. Don't get the vaccine great, you've had enough time to "gather information" to make that choice. Easier to say get vaxxed or shame than it is to acknowledge other areas that might increase a persons increased risk.

Pretty ironic getting a corporate ethics lesson from a Bama fan. I am remembering why I stopped coming here.

Requiring someone to do something that, if not complied with, results in financial harm could easily be construed as force.

There are states that agree with this point and have passed legislation ensuring their citizens rights are protected.

I love how folks that have decided to get the vaccine are ok with requiring others to get it.

Are you not protected? Why is anyone's vaccine status anyone else's concern if you are protected?

Actually several healthcare companies have fired people for tobacco and alcohol even when used legally

Let's go with any. I hope Coach Rolovich and his 4 assistants sue the piss out of the school and the NCAA.

So, a construction company should not be able to require tetanus vaccines for folks on a work site?

And for what it's worth, the NCAA played no role in WSU's mandate or the decision to fire Rolovich.
