Yesterdays church service was about commitment. Before you say something I know its the wrong thread but God deserves it!

Not everyone is an athelete or have a specific talent in your eyes. We can still commit to something and that's God.

When you commit youself to God, amazing things start to happen in your life.
I just thought this was something I needed to say to the vol nation.
Love you guys and god bless

2 Tim. 3:12 "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution."

Don't be fooled into believing that becoming a Christian will be the beginning of "amazing things". Many people make superficial decisions to follow Jesus thinking something is in it for them, seeking to find what they can get, a consumerism attitude. God's Word does NOT teach this.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing more amazing than Eternal Life, but don't think that everything will be fine for the rest of your time on Earth. God's providential guidance, testing, and blessings are different for everyone. Store up your treasures in heaven, not on Earth

We all believe in a different way, this is a sports forum not a reilgion site. I know I will get alot of feedback on this but is there anywhere in this world where people can come to have a conversation about somthing that doesn't include religion....

Easily the most profound thing you have ever posted, IMO. I agree with you 100% on this very important subject. Think of it this way, if someone says you agree to this thought, and I'll give you 1 million dollars, who would turn that down? It would be too good to be true. A true follower in Christ isn't rewarded with flowers and lollipops, but that shouldn't be the expectation either.

Nice Post!! Bottom line in the end is where we will spend eternity. Serving Jesus Christ and striving to live for HIm is what it's all about. We can can love football, etc etc but it must not become Idolotry. It's all meaningless compared to committment to Jesus Christ!!! Jeremiah 17:7 & 17:10

I find it ridiculous that this hasn't been deleted yet...

Why do you read it?? People have the freedom to post as they wish. How many topic have you read that deal only with recruiting? Most start that way, but seldom stay that way.

I agree this is off topic, but what better topic to have. It was started because this guy wanted to spread His love & hopes that one person who reads it will turn to God. If your heart is hard, move on & we will continue to pray for you
