We all believe in a different way, this is a sports forum not a reilgion site. I know I will get alot of feedback on this but is there anywhere in this world where people can come to have a conversation about somthing that doesn't include religion....

if you don't like it then why even open the thread?

Yesterdays church service was about commitment. Before you say something I know its the wrong thread but God deserves it!

Not everyone is an athelete or have a specific talent in your eyes. We can still commit to something and that's God.

When you commit youself to God, amazing things start to happen in your life.
I just thought this was something I needed to say to the vol nation.
Love you guys and god bless
spell much?

Cue the 18 year old at the table playing the hat game with a fitted "God" hat, "Allah" hat and "Buddah" hat.

Good job, bro. However, next time you may want to talk about all the beers you drank before breakfast or the girl that you'd like bang at the local Mini-Mart so that your thread will be deemed acceptable by everyone.

if you're actually a pastor, I find it appalling that you would post something so ignorant...

Not sure I have ever heard a pastor use the word "bang" before.

Short of describing the rapture or something along those lines.

Why do you read it?? People have the freedom to post as they wish. How many topic have you read that deal only with recruiting? Most start that way, but seldom stay that way.

I agree this is off topic, but what better topic to have. It was started because this guy wanted to spread His love & hopes that one person who reads it will turn to God. If your heart is hard, move on & we will continue to pray for you

my heart isn't hard... I didn't say it was a terrible thing to do... just that it's in the wrong place.

Yeah, I'm a pastor. Been one for a long time. Please explain the ignorance of my response.

the posters that disagreed with the post weren't bothered that it wasn't about someone getting laid... they found that this wasn't the proper forum for such a discussion... to post something like that is even more inappropriate and demeaning to all of volnation. don't belittle people just because they don't have the same views as you do...

I'm still waiting for IPorange to show up. You can bet that if religion is mentioned, he will show up.

I'm with pastorlee. Jesus lived in the real world and was 100% man (100% God, too, but let's not do the Trinitarian trip just now). He didn't hang with the rich and powerful, he hung with the poor and the sick, the crazies, alchoholics and the morally challenged. Go back and read your NT again, forgetting the crap they taught you in Sunday School and dig out the real man. If you want dig out the real stuff , read Bonhoeffer's "The Cost of Discipleship". It will blow your mind. GBY!
