At least you dont have to worry about the kicking game ,the OL, or a RB that loves to fumble the ball.......and Kiffin coordinating.

I hate Alabama but seriously man your reaching bad here. I would take Bamas OL over ours any day. I will take Yeldon over Lane all day long. As far as the kicking game, correct me if I am wrong but wasn't Adam Griffith the number one ranked kicker when he was recruited?

As far as Kiffin goes I don't think he will be as good as Nuss but who knows?

Did I say we would beat bama? And is bamas Ol going to be young this season? Point being, that they are beatable. Reaching as vol fan is much better than being negative. OK embarrassed bama because they believed they could foremost.

I don't think anyone knows what kind of defense we are going to have until the OU game. I wouldn't get too cocky yet. We might suprise some folks; including Bama.

I'll say this is seriousness, without any snide intended:

You may be right. But I doubt there will be a marked improvement. I think UT is a year away on defense. The talent that is there is green, and inexperience negates talent on defense more than it does on offense.

I think UT has a great chance to take a big step forward on offense in 2014. I think that step will be smaller on defense. But 2015 should be a different story.

Bump, given the fact that at least one sports betting group has the Vols as 6.5 point favorites over Utah State in Week 1. If we're 7 point favorites over a 9-win Moutain West team with an NFL prospect at QB, we should similarly be favored to beat a crappy 4-8 Florida team at home. Unlike some Vol fans, Las Vegas doesn't take superstition or prior losing streaks into account when setting point spreads.

Tennessee will not be playing that crappy 4-8 Florida team, just like the Florida team that beat Tennessee last year wasn't the same one that finished the year on a 7 game losing streak.

Unfortunately I see UF being much improved this upcoming year....Especially with Muschamp on the hot seat.

I will agee with you on that. We do have talent coming in that may make a difference. We hope.

They will never beat Alabama with the utter garbage of a defensive staff currently in place. Jones will have to make changes at the end of year if he wants to survive long term.
