"We Beat UK, Look Out UT". (says WKU fan store)

Volleyball tourney :crazy
Your school is garbage. You have to let Tennesseans near the border declare in-state residence so somebody will go to Bowling Spleen. Plus, MTSU beat your sorry arse in football but got snubbed because the Sun Belch had a little hissy-fit over them leaving for C-USA. And didn't you lose your first tourney game last year, too?
Typical Hilltarder.:crazy

I did not attend WKU so it is not "my" school. You, on the other hand, did attend MTSU as your poor communication skills and weak attempt at insulting humor prove.
WKU did not choke and lose in their own conference tourney as a certain Murfreesboro team did.

I find it hilarious that people are getting all offended because the off-campus WKU BOOKSTORE put that on their sign.

It all seems rather ridiculous and stupid for THAT to make someone all up-in-arms. Lol

UT really has fallen far if our fans get offended that a smaller school wants to feel a little confident since they had a big win over a rival. The fact that makes some of you upset is just downright ludicrous.

Agreed

The thing that bothers me is that many of you are insulting fellow Vols fans by insulting WKU. In case you haven't noticed, there are A LOT of WKU alumni/UT fans on VN.

I'm from Tennessee and have been a Vols fan my entire life. I also graduated from WKU and cheer for the Hilltoppers. In the rare occasions that both teams meet, I cheer for UT but still hope WKU does well.

When you degrade our institution you are also degrading fellow UT fans; and, for that, you ought to reconsider what you say and how you say it.

In this case, the rules of being a fan dictate that you cannot pull for the Vols this weekend. As a graduate of a school that is playing UT, you cannot say you are a Vol while simultaneously hoping that your alma mater "does well."

While you are asking Vols (many of us are UT grads) to not degrade your school (our opponent), you are also wishing upon us (Vols) the curse of having to almost have a heart attack for four quarters so the school you graduated from doesn't lose too badly.

That is a conflict of interest of the highest order.

As Wyatt Earp said in Tombstone "Fight's commenced, get to fightin', or get away."

How many more of these "We better watch out" threads are we going to have. I swear, you'd think we should go ahead and just forfeit saturday's game. It seems half of volnation fears WKU. Is that what UT football has come to????

Well if u look at the last 5 years than yeah.

I wonder how many posters on here are actually UT grads. I would hope not many, as the level of intelligence sometimes displayed would make one assume that the academic reputation of UT was equal to that of a diploma mill that advertises on late night television.

False. I and many others didn't graduate from the UT and if we played one of my alma meters (undergraduate and graduate schools were different institutions), I'd hope for my Vols win, even stomp them, but my other schools to make a good show. This is not unlike the African-American students at Bama back when Condredge Holloway played. They wanted and expected Bama to win but they cheered when CH made a big play as well. They publicly stated they wanted Bama to win but they wanted CH to have a good day too. I think the other folks who lived reasonably close to CH's neighborhood also cheered him. That was better treatment than UT fans gave his mom when CH was hurt and didn't play so well as a result. Bama's outclassing Vols fans? Sacrilege but it did happen.

I love the Packers. But because I lived in DC for some years, I got a liking for the Redskins too and for reasons I won't bore you here. But when it's Pack vs. Skins, I'm a Packer but would like the Skins to make it a game. You're trying to echo a myth, that one can't have a their cake and eat it too, Fact is, you can. You admire the decorations while you HAVE it in front of you. Then chomp the thing down, and you still HAVE it because it's inside you. What you won't have several hours later is ALL the cake. Part goes out as waste, and part stays fuel and broken down enzymes and other substances the body employs to remain functional. Some things you really can have both ways depending on how much of each you want.

Yes, you're still on my ignore except when quoted by someone else. :)

I have no idea the exact number of UT grads that use this site, that is why I spoke in the indefinite.

The word "many" was carefully chosen. I am positive that other more powerful words such as "most" would not fit.
