We can win the national title this season...

It was game 1. He calmed down and was spot on. If he still gets silly and throws any flat and high missles against AP this Saturday, then be concerned. Everyone wants to talk about the misses, but forget he threw with a 70% completion rate. He threw 2 TDs and rushed for 2. You could tell that the entire team had the jitters including the coaches. CJH even mentioned it in the post game presser.

The TD throw to Warren was a big time throw.

Amen. Especially when they lay down that “absolutely won’t beat Georgia” drivel. If they truly feel like that, why bother watching.

I’d rather read a positive post like OP than some Eeyorean post like the second.

We will be underdogs against Georgia. But we will have a reasonable chance of winning that game.
Never ends. Same ones said we "would NOT beat Florida, We'll beat Bama before beating Florida and we ain't being Bama anytime soon".

Probably said "we won't lose to SC" last year.

And Colorado won't beat TCU. Lol, then when they do, "yeah we'll TCU sucks".

Why don't people ever learn? Nobody "knows" wtf is gonna happen.

I learned. In 2016 I ran my mouth and guaranteed we beat SC. Not just beat them but beat them by 24 points.

I don't guarantee chit anymore.

Last year I said we should go 10-2 after the first game. And that's exactly what happened. Now I'm calling my shot once again. I think this team has the talent to win it all. After seeing Georgia, Ohio State, and Alabama, none of their squads scare me. We have as many future Sunday players in our 2-deep as they do.

No excuse for Huepel and the boys. Anything short of winning the national championship will be a failure.
Put the crack pipe down.

Why are we talking national title now? We got a long way to go! Let's just take it ONE GAME AT A TIME! We just beat Virginia, there was some GOOD things that happened & there were some bad things that happened! Let's not get ahead of ourselves, but just enjoy the moment!
Okay but it's a big responsibility.

I'll need you to let me know via alerts when to enjoy and when not to. Then let me know when to worry and when not to, then let me know when I can start talking about National championships.

How should feel about next week?

We should feel good! We just beat Virginia & a lot of our second & third stringers got to play! None of our players got seriously injured. My point is, last year we lost to Georgia, & a lot of people were just talking about" we are going the final 4", then we go into SC and get SPANKED! There was not a single person concerned or thinking about SC!

So if all of us had not said anything about the playoffs and been worried sick about SC everything would have changed?

Right.
Because the fans and the team are identical, it is important that the fans not overlook any opponent.

Because he was damn near perfect under 10 yards. I think he’ll be fine but using the overall completion % is skewed when at one point he was 1-7 over 10+. We will absolutely need the 10+ yard completions to have a chance at winning some games on the schedule. Otherwise stack the box and concede the underneath stuff.

And one of those misses was a perfectly thrown ball that Keyton dropped. I truly believe that rattled Milton and the next 4 passes were flat, high and hard. I guess the 4 touchdowns he was part if was skewed as well.

I’m with you on this OP, I think we have a great shot. Been saying a lot of the offseason that this team will be more well rounded than last years (as in we’re getting defensive help) and this year is a special group.

Yet another one of your ridiculous and utterly brainless posts. Dude just give it up. You have no clue. We aren’t beating UGA. That defense will eat us up yet again. So when we don’t win the NC are you gonna do your little spoiled act like you used to? You know when you said you didn’t watch TN football because they were not any good? Or are you gonna trash the staff and players like you did Dobbs and company on 2016? Just do us all a favor and not post anymore. We don’t need fans like you.
My wife and a significant portion of the national media have a disease called Trump Derangement Syndrome. Just mentioning his name sends them into an angry frenzy.

Friend, you seem to be suffering from D4H Derangement Syndrome. You way over-reacted to that OP.

Go Vols!

p.s. I wouldn't bet much money that we'll beat UGa this year. But I wouldn't bet much that we won't, either. We have a chance.

It's not clear how you can make such claim after yesterday's games --

If you stand by it / Wondering, if you'd be willing to make the claim lined up against JCamp this week during Practice.

Watch John Campbell take this man to the WALL

What does 4 TDS have to do with completion %?

Milton needs a little more consistency but we can beat everyone on our schedule. In saying that I'm not going to predict a win over UGA until I see it happen. I will say however that our defense specifically up front looked outstanding yesterday

That keyton drop along with the deep ball in the endzone to Bru were perfect. His stat line should have read alot better

And you’re basing this off beating a team that would struggle against my son’s high school team?
