We can win the national title this season...

Last year I said we should go 10-2 after the first game. And that's exactly what happened. Now I'm calling my shot once again. I think this team has the talent to win it all. After seeing Georgia, Ohio State, and Alabama, none of their squads scare me. We have as many future Sunday players in our 2-deep as they do.

No excuse for Huepel and the boys. Anything short of winning the national championship will be a failure.
You post the dumbest sh!t! No wonder I hadn’t noticed you haven’t posted in a while. Trolling skill is weak.

Ok…I’ll give Dobbs for Heisman a pass getting out over his skis after a Cavalier butt whooping. Dear “BigOrangeTrain”, chill a little and let fans express a little enthusiasm. Did you predict Vols beating Bama last year? Except for the rogue troll, most of us realize we have an uphill challenge beating any top ten team on the road or at Neyland. Hope we do, would love an SEC and NCAA Championship this year. Be real but be chill with the fratricide.

What does 4 TDS have to do with completion %?
Dude, are you really awake this morning? You said the completion % was skewed and his performance was not good because of the completion percentage early in the game on deep passes. I was being sarcastic with the fact that he was involved on 4 scores, along with the 70% completion rate and over 200 yards passing. I still just don't get those who go out of their way to find anything to criticize the team for.

To the first 2 posters, both of you are wrong. Yes we are a team capable of playing and beating anybody. But anything can happen in football and we could have a fantastic season and come up just short and that would not be failure. Good grief this is just Heupel’s 3rd year and how quick we forget where we were. But on too the second poster that said matter of fact we would not beat Georgia. I can’t stand fans to make matter of fact comments like that. Anybody that knows anything about major college football knows that when 2 talented teams tangle anything can happen. Could we possibly win it all? Absolutely! Could we stumble and lose a few tight ones or lose one we shouldn’t? Absolutely! That is why you play the game and how our season goes depends on us taking one game at a time and staying focused and catching good brakes and making big plays. But this is not national championship or failure. Now let’s go get em one game at a time! GBO!!!!!

Ditto............and I might add enjoy every day of every week of college football season. We'll all wake up and it'll be Thanksgiving before you know it. College football season flies by...........

I think we'll have a chance in every game this year. I think we could bet reasonably be top 15-20 in both defense and offense this year. I'd be ecstatic if we go 10-2 again, and over the moon for any thing higher than that. 11-1 and your probably in the CFP and if that 1 loss is Alabama instead of Georgia you're in the SEC championship.

I think the key to beating Georgia will be quick hitters that keeps the defense honest. Take the deep shots when available, but the dogs are very talented and will present an incredible challenge. No doubt we will be underdogs against them, as well as Alabama. That just means, strain a little harder.

Milton needs a little more consistency but we can beat everyone on our schedule. In saying that I'm not going to predict a win over UGA until I see it happen. I will say however that our defense specifically up front looked outstanding yesterday
You’re going to predict a win over UGA until you see it happen?🤔🤨
A prediction is an opinion before it happens😄

Well, Tennessee looked good, but to be fair, most of the other SEC teams looked really good too. Until Tennessee and all the other SEC teams play against better competition, you really can't make a good analysis of the team. I mean, most of the teams that the SEC played yesterday were glorified High School teams. Most of the SEC, with the exception of South Carolina and Florida, looked like word beaters, and that is because South Carolina and Florida where the only two SEC teams to play a decent opponent. We will just have to wait and see how things shake out.

It's like Jerry from Bull's Gap posted this via Ouija Board... I'll hang up and listen.

Dude, please speak for yourself. I’m fine with someone wanting to post their opinion and predictions on a message board. I’m not okay with you belittling them and telling them not to post anymore or that we don’t need them.
He was just fishing for Likes being the second post

We aren't at the "national championship or bust" point quite yet, and anyone with a clue understands that.

We are however at a point where we don't need to fear any opponent, home or away, and that is a huge testament to the unbelievably great job Heupel has done in such a short time. We clearly have an elite coach, and finally an elite AD as well, who will do whatever is necessary to keep this train rolling.

We might be a year or two away from serious championship talk, or we might even get there this season. The fact that we can even entertain thoughts like that so soon after this program was in the garbage can is beyond belief. Why don't we just enjoy the ride without getting too smug or impatient? Or is that asking too much?

Have you lost your mind. We finish 10-2 at best.

Yet another one of your ridiculous and utterly brainless posts. Dude just give it up. You have no clue. We aren’t beating UGA. That defense will eat us up yet again. So when we don’t win the NC are you gonna do your little spoiled act like you used to? You know when you said you didn’t watch TN football because they were not any good? Or are you gonna trash the staff and players like you did Dobbs and company on 2016? Just do us all a favor and not post anymore. We don’t need fans like you.
We can beat UGA.

I said the 70% is a byproduct of being nearly flawless on the underneath stuff and we need him to be more consistent on the deeper throws to be what we want to be. We saw last year what happened when the deep ball was inaccurate or taken away i.e. UGA. I believe Hooker was roughly 40% on deep balls and was one of the most accurate in the country at that stat. It’s game 1 so he has time and it’s the sky isn’t falling, but we can’t expect to win the big games going 1-7; that’s not being contrarian or knit picking it’s just being realistic.
