We can win the national title this season...

Last year I said we should go 10-2 after the first game. And that's exactly what happened. Now I'm calling my shot once again. I think this team has the talent to win it all. After seeing Georgia, Ohio State, and Alabama, none of their squads scare me. We have as many future Sunday players in our 2-deep as they do.

No excuse for Huepel and the boys. Anything short of winning the national championship will be a failure.
Get Real! Possible but think YOU should bet the mortgage on it. You must be a BAMA fan.

Let's not put the cart before the horse. There's a lot of football left to play, and any number of things, both good and bad, can happen and change the whole trajectory in a second.

I think you're right that we can compete with everybody, and that's a breath of fresh air over the 2 prior decades; however, it takes talent, coaching, and a metric šŸ’© ton of luck to win a championship.

Just pump the brakes and enjoy the ride.

Dude, please speak for yourself. Iā€™m fine with someone wanting to post their opinion and predictions on a message board. Iā€™m not okay with you belittling them and telling them not to post anymore or that we donā€™t need them.
Agree-Someone wins the ā€œdbā€ award.

Thatā€™s cool. I am. I just donā€™t think we have the horses to beat them.
Thatā€™s fine but to say it so matter of fact is just plain silly. For one itā€™s a deafest attitude and 2 you have seen enough games to know better to say it like that. And for the thread starter to say anything but a national championship is a failure is ludicrous. I concede nothing but good grief winning the national championship takes everything to fall in place. This staff is in the 3rd year that took over when we were at one of our lowest points and we are back to being competitive with the top teams and somebody starts a thread that says itā€™s national championship or failure. Sorry but that is one of the worst takes I have ever seen and is pure garbage. Weā€™re going to have a fun and exciting year. Letā€™s take one game at a time and keep working hard and we will be fine. GBO

It was game 1. He calmed down and was spot on. If he still gets silly and throws any flat and high missles against AP this Saturday, then be concerned. Everyone wants to talk about the misses, but forget he threw with a 70% completion rate. He threw 2 TDs and rushed for 2. You could tell that the entire team had the jitters including the coaches. CJH even mentioned it in the post game presser.
Yes, I understand all that. Not to mention he should have had about 275 yards had Keyton caught the dime that was thrown. Still, this was against UVA and the next game will be an easier team. I need to see how he and everyone else to your point plays against a decent team where there is high pressure before I know how I feel about how we can match up against those two teams. I think Florida on the road will be a big test for our team.

Yet another one of your ridiculous and utterly brainless posts. Dude just give it up. You have no clue. We arenā€™t beating UGA. That defense will eat us up yet again. So when we donā€™t win the NC are you gonna do your little spoiled act like you used to? You know when you said you didnā€™t watch TN football because they were not any good? Or are you gonna trash the staff and players like you did Dobbs and company on 2016? Just do us all a favor and not post anymore. We donā€™t need fans like you.
Pot meet kettleā€¦..

Milton has to improve tremendously in the accuracy department. Tennessee wonā€™t get to many chances like that against quality opponents.

Iā€™m very interested to see how he performs on the road in a hostile environment.

1-0 enjoy it ladies and gents.

Uhā€¦we could definitely beat Georgia. Game is at home and that is not the same team as last year and we are much improved. If anything youā€™re the idiot here.

Idk about that. We got 3 starting SEC caliber RB's. One of the top SEC WR groups, and one of the most physical front 7's in the SEC. We got the horses we just have to execute. We'll see if their new QB can make some of the back breaking plays Bennett made. Something tells me Neyland wont be as friendly to them as Athens was last year.

Because we COULD win a natty then anything less than doing it is a failure? Come on. šŸ™„ Thereā€™s several teams that could win it. Good Lord. Pace yourself.

You gotta hold yourself to a standard of greatness if you wanna be great. Being comfortable with low expectations is not how greatness gets achieved.

And youā€™re basing this off beating a team that would struggle against my sonā€™s high school team?

Nah. I rarely look at the opponent. I watched our players and compared them to the players Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State rolled out there yesterday. We had just as many Sunday caliber athletes as them if not more. That's why I'm saying we can win it all. We have the players to get it done.

When Tennessee stops leaving 21 Points on the Field, get back with another Prognostication. It was VIRGINIA, Tennessee was supposed to beat Virginia like a rented mule. Yes they looked Good at times, and sloppy at times. Gotta clean that up before any talk of Championships.

Unless Milton drastically improves, we arenā€™t competing for the natty.
Hard to ā€œdrasticallyā€ improve upon 70 percent completion percentage and 4 TDā€™s.

I swear some of yā€™all are on meffy meff around here.

People need to stop thinking about the record at the end of the year and start thinking about one game at a time. I just want 2-0 this week. I will worry about the rest later.

Just like you called Dobbs winning the Heisman.
