If you look at the regional bracket it looks to be the easiest. Yes if we win against OK St. then we play Pitt in the 2nd round, but it gives us a chance to go up against one of the best. If we manage to get by Pitt the only challenge left will be the perennially over-rated Duke. I think all in all we got into a pretty good region. Obviously a higher seed would have been nice but maybe Bruce scheduled the intense regular season schedule to prepare our team to play against the best.
How many wins does UT have against clearly superior opponents? It sure wasn't a win over Gonzaga, Memphis or Kansas. They'll be ready, alright. Ready like a dog that prepares itself to be hit with a newspaper.

People, realize that our CONFERENCE CHAMPION only got an 8.
We weren't getting better than an 8 seed, win or lose today.
I'm glad someone is excited to just be there......
I think its a bit low, myself. But you know, when you get down to the 7 seed level, all the teams in there end up getting seeded and ranked so as to make the regional and matchup issues work out. Plus, the S E C is really so weak this year that no one is thinking a team from the conference deserves a good path.
