all this whinning over seeding....geez it sounds like Brian Williams on the court....it this team would just learn to shut up and play, maybe there wouldn't be so much whinning...oh and it doesn't hurt to play with some smarts and intensity too....

I wouldn't worry about Pitt, we're not going to make it past Oklahoma State.

The SEC really did not get much respect. LSU did OK but I was little shocked at Miss St. thought they would have done better. CBS to no surpise did not think they would make it unless they beat us.

If you look at the regional bracket it looks to be the easiest. Yes if we win against OK St. then we play Pitt in the 2nd round, but it gives us a chance to go up against one of the best. If we manage to get by Pitt the only challenge left will be the perennially over-rated Duke. I think all in all we got into a pretty good region. Obviously a higher seed would have been nice but maybe Bruce scheduled the intense regular season schedule to prepare our team to play against the best.

How many wins does UT have against clearly superior opponents? It sure wasn't a win over Gonzaga, Memphis or Kansas. They'll be ready, alright. Ready like a dog that prepares itself to be hit with a newspaper.

It would be pretty cool to see ETSU beat Pitt and UT win against Ok. State to setup a match between ETSU and UT. I think ETSU would win potentially. They have been playing lights out as of lately.

For those of you who say we got what we deserved. You need to get your head out of your rears. And, you should find another team to support!

Is the SEC down this year?...yes But, the UT did get the shaft. Our RPI going into todays SEC Championship Game was 20. We had a top 5 strength of schedule. How do some of you conclude by numbers our number 33-36 position in the brackets? LSU and UT deserved atleast a 6 or 7 seed.

AU, UF, or USC should have got a bid! I hope MSU, UT, and LSU makes some noise. But, it is going to be hard with the draws each team got. I guess all the analyst will be correct on saying the SEC was down this year. But, I hope not!

well said....their only hope is that OK St is looking forward to playing Pitt....but I don't think that will be the case....Ok St will have the advantage at the guard positions....what else is new.....

beat bama at home in the last game of the season, or beat a weak miss. state team for the title, it's hard to see how the Vols will do better against the best teams. Actually, we're lucky the Vols did play a STOUT of-of-conference schedule. Without that, and had florida and kentucky had better seasons, the Vols wouldn't even be in the tourney.

What would hurt ETSU agfainst UT is their inside game. Now their guards is talented. Tiggs and Pigram are fun to watch. Seen twice this year in the dome.

People, realize that our CONFERENCE CHAMPION only got an 8.

We weren't getting better than an 8 seed, win or lose today.

This guy is right...we should have won more games, but for LSU to get an 8 seed is a freakin joke. Bruce has his work cut out for him. OSU is beatable. Wonder how the gators and cats feel...they knew it was coming, but does not make easy to swallow,:cray:

I think its a bit low, myself. But you know, when you get down to the 7 seed level, all the teams in there end up getting seeded and ranked so as to make the regional and matchup issues work out. Plus, the S E C is really so weak this year that no one is thinking a team from the conference deserves a good path.

Didn't want to start a new thread but does anyone have any idea when the game times will be announced?

I'm glad someone is excited to just be there......

ETSU isn't excited just to be there. They've been there often and made considerable noise. Beat Arizona as a 15 seed, gave OU the biggest #1 seed first round scare in tournament history and Tim Smith almost brought down Cincy a few years back when they were a 3 seed. Even made MTV.

Trust me, Bartow is pissed about being pushed down to a 16. They deserved a 14.

I agree, it's a down year for the SEC.

Oh, I've been spelunking all day so haven't had access to any news. What seed did the Gators get? Figured you would know.
