Great. So, Bama gets a top 5 center, & we're going for a 2* & 3* darn near unranked OL guys. Sweet.

yeah...thats why im not buying all this happy talk about how we are going to be loaded with OL....

every top prospect we are talking about seems to not be outwardly saying they like us in front...

We are in on SOOOO many OL this year, it's not even funny. I just wonder what Dooley will do if Rexroad earns and offer and wants to commit on the spot. Also, Jonah Austin may want to commit if he solidifies his offer into an official one. That would give us 3 committed, with Kerbyson, Richardson, Crowder, Clear (OT, IMO), and Zack West still left on the big board. Too bad we can't take them all, would be great if we could. Someone is going to get hurt possibly. All these kids are great kids too.
Can any of these guys play DT?

I know that Richardson, Kerbyson, Clear, and Crowder play both ways fo sho. Last year, Richardson had 34 tackles, Kerbyson had 33, and Clear had 53. Not sure on Crowder's numbers, but he does play DT.

Buck has been talking about the potential Clear may have at DT. And I know we've talked to him about possibly playing defense cuz in his last video interview he said the Vols are recruiting at both TE and DE.

No clue about the others.

I think Clear could be a monster DT with his athleticism. I just hope he ends up somewhere besides TE haha. I think his talent would have much more of an impact on the game somewhere other than TE.

You never know who will change their mind before NSD,I would take everone that wants an offer at this point 6 wants a scholly and 3 changes their mind before NSD.. Thats just how kids roll today.:good!:

This would be my ideal class and I think it is VERY likely:

OT- Richardson
OT- Kerbyson
OT/TE- Clear
C- Crowder
OG- Posey
OG- Walsh/West/Austin

Ding, ding, ding...perfect class...

I think I'm off the Robinson bandwagon as well...

Do you think Austin will commit if given the opportunity this week?

I am a fan of West over Rexroad. And I hope Clear stays at TE we need an impact player there and it doesnt look like we are getting it in this class.

We got one last class we just didn't know it...

Hint: He's already up to 6'5" 220...by next year he'll be 235-240 IMO...

But I would love to land Clear as a TE (not OT) in this class and really try to keep him there...

I think Wylie can get him to/keep him at 250-255 which would make him ideal for the position

Make offers to all of them and take as many as you need who are first to commit. We need to load up on big uglies given attrition and current lack of depth.

Who is the hint you are referring to. You are probably correct.

Milton...

Alot will disagree but he's listed at 220 in the new roster and he's got a broad enough frame to put on another 15-20 and keep his athleticism...

Since we're pretty well set at WR and not at TE I really think you're going to see him move there by next spring

he has great feet and maybe thats the upside, but in his video on youtube he stands a little to straight up. Not enough bend in the hips to drive an SEC dlinemen off of the ball. Looks a lot like Chris Scotts gameplay imo

go vols

Chris Scott is/was far more athletic out of high school. I'd say a better comparison is a Preston Bailey type.

I am glad the "take them all crowd" isn't coaching. Good grief this program would have no hope. I realize OL is a huge need but so is every other position out there outside of Wr and maybe RB.

Terrible idea when you are trying to rebuild a program. You need to get the best players regardless. You dont take a guy like Austin or Rexroad to fill a spot that could go to Richardson or Kerbyson, both of whom Tennessee is sitting in good shape with.

If the coaches like Austin, they should take his commitment. Hopefully that will put pressure on the other OL recruits we want to commit also.

This is a good problem to have!
