We stink.....period

If they score 22 at kentucky in the first half the game will not be close. You can also count on the refs not being on the boys in orange side. Our guys are not ging to shoot 20 free throws in the first half there.

So if Tennessee scores 22 in the first half and 44 in the second half the game won't be close? So we'll lose by 30+ even if we score 66?

Virginia has a pretty good chance of making it IMO

Even if it's just 3, that's more than last year and the point remains.[/QUOTE

Here ya go.

Yea there it is, do you have problems comprehending sentences?

I said they have a "pretty good chance"....that's hardly me saying they are a lock to be in.

I then go on to even say if it's only 3, implying that they may not make it.

You on the other hand flat out said that I was wrong, and we wouldn't win by double digits, well...

Good try.

I admit I was wrong on the final outcome. But 4 points after 10 minutes is a problem, especially against a poor team. Why don't you see this?

I do see it, I have admitted as such, but 44 points in 20 minutes isn't a problem. Why don't you see this?

Is this team going to having scoring droughts, absolutely, this was discussed before the seasons started, and that's when we thought we'd have Maymon. There are deficiencies in Martin's system and the talents he has of certain major players that are keeping this from being a high scoring team.

However, they are still 7-3 and beat a Wichita State team ranked #23 and who is now 10-1, so impressive win. If you want to see games played in the 90s then you're going to hate Coach Martin because those games will be few and far between. There will likely be more low scoring games this year, so prepare yourself for them, but as long as their score is lower than ours at the final buzzer I'm fine with that.

Don' t hate Martin, just not a fan of his style of play. He seems like a good person and coach. I guess I'm going to have to adjust.

Just thought I'd mention this...if this team shot 45% fg and 40% from 3 like Martin wants, and he got from Missouri State...we average 1 more made 2 a game, and 2 more made 3's a game, that's 8 points a game.

Right now we average 64 points a game, that'd put us at 72, not too shabby.

And that's fine, that's personal opinion. Me personally, I like a style that produces wins, and right now his style is doing that. I'd much rather be winning 60-52 than losing 88-86.

Add the average we miss at the FT line and you're at 80.
Think we'll score more next season with youknowwho.

I love the defense, but if Martin doesn't recruit some truly good shooters, we are always going to play, and win, ugly. That team cannot shoot a jump shot. Who, besides a UT or Georgetown fan, could have possibly stuck with that game for two hours. Ugliest college basketball game I've seen in many years.

Two words Robert Hubbs. I agree with you with the play ugly and win aspect. If Hubbs is the deadeye shooter that he has been evaluated at. We will be able to shoot teams out of zones easily. McRae is becoming more aggressive also so there is that. I think we can build some confidence as the season goes on and not have the ugly early games we've had.
