So the Engine Room calls you up and says they have flooding, with water coming in at 500 gpm. 15 minutes later they call up and say the rate is now 250 gpm. I like the "Admiral on the Bridge" analogy, but I don't think it's complete. The Admiral goes on to add "Great job on slowing the leak, keep up the good work. I'm aware that there is more than one leak and we're going to work at fixing them all, plus we can actually use some of that water for coolant. We also have a pump that can remove 200 gpm so some of you get on that and we should be good until we get back to port."

Admiral Trump screams. "The leak fixers are horrible, and this is the worst leak ever. Stop the ship now and forget about the water that has already poured in. Ignore all of the other leaks and everybody focus on just the one."

My opinions come straight from within and for the most part have remained constant throughout my life.
