Forida always always is a bad game for us. It's like UT against UK.
Yes, I have spent a lot of money going to TN/FL games, have yet to see us win one. Promised myself stay home and save the money.

Sure makes Florida, Georgia, Bama, UK, and Vandy look different. If we play even close to like tonight three are sure losses and other two a toss up.

Only 2 for sure Ws left on the schedule with this type of oline.

We still have UGA, Alabama, and yes…the Florida Gators who we always tend to struggle against. Not to mention Kentucky and now Vandy on the rise. We are going to be in a dogfight not to lose more than 2 games.

If history holds true D4H making this prediction means we can only hope to not drop at least 2 more. I'd love for him to be right of course but...yeah, that hasn't worked out well for us previously.

We're smashing Florida next week. The guys will be juiced up to rebound while Florida will be reading their press clipping after a couple of wins. It's the perfect spot for us.
Some people seem to have a short memory when it comes to the UT and Florida game. I will never call the Florida game a win no matter the situation. Florida could be winless and UT undefeated and I would not do that. OldVolMan knows what I mean I think me and him may be about the same age.

I still think this team is capable of hanging with anyone with the exception of Texas. With Georgia and Bama, who knows which Jekyll/Hyde team you will get. Sometimes, they look unbeatable. Other times, they look average. The Vols need to put this one behind them, improve on the deficiencies that showed themselves against a very energetic Arkansas team, and move forward.

You know I remember a time when the New England Patriots couldn't lose and the Detroit Lions couldn't win. Times change.

This is our time. Yesterday was just a hiccup.

Ripe old age of 74.
I do not get upset at losses anymore, it is not worth it. I just enjoy it and accept the fact there are a lot more important things in my life to worry about. After all, if they win or they lose it really does not affect my life in any way.

But, when they do win it sure is lot more fun.

Was hard for me to understand why we were not using the short passing game over the middle looked like a seven or eight yards of clear field as Arkansas was dropping way back. We were always trying to go down the field to far. Just throw five to seven yarders lot of space was all I kept seeing.

Losing a hard fought game against Georgia or Alabama? Tough…but acceptable. Losing the way we did by playing soft, uninspired football? Unacceptable. You don’t lose the games you’re supposed to win.

End of the game when we were in the red zone their DBs were dropping into the end zone to prevent a quick touchdown. When we still had two timeouts, why not take advantage of that soft coverage to get closer to the end zone? And who knows, maybe a missed tackle leads to a touchdown. I was screaming this in my head.

I’m predicting a 8-4 to 7-5 season after this debacle. If the offense had a pulse I might feel a little more confident but……as of this moment the Vols will find another way to lose to Florida that has never been attempted before in football history.

In 2014, Ohio State lost by 14 points to a 7-6 Virginia-Tech team. In 2015, Alabama lost to an Ole Miss team that lost by 28 points to Florida two weeks later as well as Memphis and Arkansas. In 2016, Clemson lost to at home to a 8-5 Pitt team led by Nathan Peterman. All these teams went on to win the national title.

Championship teams lose inexplicable games to not so good teams almost every year. And if they don't lose outright they almost always get a scare. This is the nature of sports. No championship team skates throughout an entire season without facing adversity. This is our adversity. I'm excited to see how our team responds.

The one that's currently #5 in the country.
You might want to look at some context before spouting that garbage. Take the cupcakes out and where are we? Where are we if you only consider our past two games? I have very limited interaction with you……but it appears everything everyone says is true.

In our past two games we've averaged 339ypg and 22pts. Most worryingly we've managed only 176y passing per game.
