We were always gonna drop one....glad we got it out of the way early

Arkansas gave up 2+ passing TDs in every game (including the last 2 games since that's all you're looking at) except Pine Bluff. Ours couldn't even get 1. That's a worry. And yes, why should Tennessee fans worry about the shortcomings of other teams?
He thinks he knows football. That’s the same guy that said Josh Dobbs would become the greatest QB the NFL has ever seen.

And Vanderbilt scored more points against Bama than they did Georgia State. Time for Bama to shut down their program? Right?

College football is now like the NFL. Each game is a one week season. Teams play up to their competition. Teams play down. The key is who can overcome adversity and be standing at the end. The idea you can project future outcomes from past events has always proven to be folly in sports with parity. Pro sports have always had that parity. Now it's come to college thanks to NIL and the transfer portal.
You realize "Everything is fine" is just the coin flip of "The sky is falling"*, right? There is literally, literally not one syllable of this line of thought you're selling that does jack all to unhappen we've played 2 even somewhat legit teams and the passing game isn't where it needs to. That's simply a fact. Can it look better moving forward? Sure, but it WILL be a liability if it doesn't. Do you have enough synapse firing to grasp that or are you going to pretend it's irrelevant due to what other teams are doing/barometric pressure/astrology signs?

*Your savage "nothing's even potentially wrong" stance is every bit the freak out the "we're absolutely doomed" bunch is and it's hilarious you are so unaware you can't see it.

The better question there is why has Vandy scored 67 points in SEC play and but Tennessee only 39.

My eye test tells me we're fine. If I saw potential flaws I would say it. The defense looks championship caliber. The offense has championship potential. We just need to find early rhythm in the pass game to keep defenses honest. We're not as far from being unstoppable as yall think.

When we find our rhythm offensively over the next 2 games I expect you'll be changing your tune. Don't be surprised if we score 40+ points over the next 2 games.

Over the course of a long football season hot and cold streaks happen. Conversely one could say Alabama is giving up 37 points per game on defense in SEC play. Do you expect that trend to continue?

You're the football equivalent of looking at a check engine light on your car and telling everyone that notices "Nah, it'll be fine."

Obviously the hope is the coaching staff is more mechanically minded, notices the obvious issues revealed over the last couple games regarding the offense and goes to work with some wrenches to fix it.

No I've just seen this story over and over again in sports. The road to being a champion is rarely smooth. In 2014 Ohio State was famously hammered by a mediocre Virginia Tech team at home. In 2015 Alabama was beaten by a not so great Ole Miss team at home. In 2016 Clemson was beat by Nathan Peterman and Pitt at home. All three teams went on to win the national title.

This will just be part of our championship story. Nico struggles early to find a rhythm. Then we catch fire and never look back.

Actually my point is everybody struggles. We just saw Kentucky beat Ole Miss and compete with Georgia after getting blasted by a South Carolina team that nearly lost to Old Dominion in Week 1. Ole Miss just turned around and whopped South Carolina. Missouri beat Vanderbilt that then beat Alabama while Missouri got blasted by A&M. And so on.

I brought up Bama because they are just the best example right now that every team can be beat given their history of dominance. I think it's time to realize we've reached the point where college football is now more like the NFL than ever before. With the transfer portal and NIL there's more parity than ever before. Thus it probably doesn't make sense to make any huge declarations after every game. Each week is it's own season. Just like the NFL.
Don’t forget Bama beat Georgia. It’s a turnip toss up.

lol. We’re dropping more than ONE! This offense has taken a massive deuce since 2022 when Golesh left the program at the end of the year. What you see is what you get for the remainder of the season with this offense. Passing game is zero threat to decent SEC teams.

15-1 is a stretch, however there is definitely truth in the statement regarding an esrly loss is better than a late loss

Everyone on our schedule is beatable, assuming we fix our O line issue/s. If we dont...ugh.
