We Will Beat Florida And Vandy This Year!

Could happen, then again, it could have happened the last 9 years. Unfortunately, if UT beats UF, they probably fire Muschamp the next day and go out and get the next hottest coach around, which would be bad for UT in the long run. But at least UT fans would enjoy the heck out of it for a full year.

So you're saying LOSE to prevent them from hiring a better coach that can beat us on a regular basis? Gotcha. Sounds like a plan.

Its a sad day for the former powers of the East that we are both poor mouthing our own teams four months before the game so as to set expectations as low as possible.

Somehow, I don't think the decision about losing to Florida is up to UT.

I really don't know much about Vandy this year.

But Florida is likely to be pretty bad. I'd expect you to be something like a 5 point favorite in the UF game.

I have a tough time believing your really a Gator fan. No UF fans talk like you that I know, none!

No, lol.

I'm saying it seems like even when UT wins against them it loses. We beat Zook 2 of 3 then they went and got meyer and we havent won since.

Im good with predicting UT to beat UF, just don;t start those ridiculous posts about tearing down goal posts and storming the field when it happens, like we did two years ago, I'm still embarrassed by that.

We tore the goalposts down after a win 2 years ago? Who did we beat....Troy?

Btw, I agree with your original point.

Oh no, we are tearing down the goal posts.

No, I was referring to the huge debate everyone was having two years ago when we had UF at home and a great offense and people were debating about whether to storm the field and take down the goalposts 'if' we beat Florida.

Let's NOT do that again! Just kick their butt first and let emotion take over from there.

The mighty have fallen on hard times. Some harder than others. Those two crystal balls ya'll racked up a couple years back should help to ease the pain, I'd say.

It ain't poor mouthing. If you stink, you stink. We were 4-8. It's just an accurate description

I said before that if tinker bell sprinkles fairy dust on the offense, they'll be pretty good. I just have no faith in that offense as long as muschamp is around.

However, it would also be wrong to say that the entire team is worthless. One part of the team is dragging the rest of the team down.

If that part of the team decides to contribute something, Florida could be pretty good.

But, like I said, I have lost faith in that happening

Ok, gotcha. Agree.

I think Gator fans are numb to it all at this point. We really expect to lose all the time with this atrocious offense.

I'm expecting a significant improvement with the UF offense for 2014. CWM will have to make changes and adapt his philosophy some this year to get better results for this season.

Regardless of the past....I like our odds beating Fl this year. Anxious to see if they stay healthy....... then playing in Neyland. Bet its a good game, regardless. Vandy...back to being little brother.

Listened to the zone here in Nashville yesterday and they said we will have the worst defensive/ offensive lines in the SEC. Ranked dead last. Said we have potentially good players coming in, but unproven. Said Vandy's (choke ..puke) defense was gonna be really good. Wanted to smash my radio

Interesting, Vandy 's defense lost entire secondary including NB and a few others and they still have a good defense.

I'm skeptical.

Will gator game come down to:

Strength vs. Strength: Vol Offense vs gator Defense

or Weakness vs Weakness: Vol Defense vs gator Offense

or Special Teams

or Coaching

or luck?

I have two concerns about the D. Saulsberry's health and Jancek's ability. Hopefully both will be misplaced concerns.

That was me too. I was employing a little hyperbole with that post, but I digress.

We'll have neither the horses nor the experience this year to beat a team that has our number dating back to the 1970s...they've won like 20 of 26 since then including the last 9 in a row. They were awful last year primarily due to an unprecedented number of injuries. They'll be healthier, they're more experienced and more talented.

While we're fully replacing both lines of scrimmage, still uncertain at QB and having to play 15-18 true freshmen in the 2 deep is no time to be predicting a win vs the one team who kicks our ass no matter the circumstances, no matter what shape each program is currently in. It's gonna take a special UT team to break this unbelievable, logic-defying losing streak vs Florida..... I just don't think this team will be ready to do it yet. Next year or 2016? Yes. Just not this year.

Florida was easily beatable last year. We lost because Peterman was playing hurt. They're done this year.

Can you imagine what would have happened had we started Worley and he played like he did against UGA and SC?!?

Imagine Florida fans after finishing the season 3-9.
