I would dare say that all of the class coming in will be in the two deep next year save maybe a slight few (2 to 3) that will redshirt and many will start.

Our team will look completely different and while we will be very young there is no way in hell that you can convince me or CBJ that Kelly JR etc should not be a starter.

I am predicting 16 freshman starters/ incoming Jucos next year by the end of the season.

I think 16 is a bit high but I do agree with what you are saying. We have some talent already. Just no depth and they are mostly young.

I agree that we will likely see a large number of the 2014 class have significant playing time next year. But 16 starters by the end of the season sounds ridiculously large.

Here's who I think may earn a starting position by the season's end (based on the incredibly subjective and unscientific "eye-ball test" of HS highlights!!!)

RB - Jalen Hurd
WR - Lavon Pearson
OL - Dontavius Blair
K - Aaron Medley

DL - DeWayne Hendrix or DaVonte Lambert
LB - Chris Weatherd (Dillon Bates will likely be in 2 deep)
DB - Todd Kelly Jr. Brian Randolph and Cam Sutton are going to keep their starting jobs, I'm pretty sure. McNeill will likely lose his starting safety roll to Kelly Jr. McDowell is a safety, so where does he fit? Maybe nickel package? Payne will have to compete with Lemond Johnson and Riyahd Jones to take Coleman's spot (if someone is going to replace a Sr cornerback). Can't forget about Rashaan Gaulden, who is a player(!), but not sure where he fits in as a frosh.

Who am I missing/forgetting?

We won't really know ANYTHING about these guys until after summer. Then, we learn if they are gamers. It's always a toss up on whether players pan out.

The class looks great and I hope they all make super stars.

McNeil seems to always be the one I see getting outran or missing a tackle on the replays of big plays against us. I really hope we can upgrade at his pos.

I don't see many seniors that will finish the season as starters.

A.J.???? Maggitt??? Lane??? Worley??? M. Jackson??? Tiny (if he returns)????

Hurd, Gaulden, TK, Bates, Weathered, Pearson, Blair, Lambert, Helms, Hendrix, Medley, McDowell, and Payne will all either start at some point or play starter minutes.

More will see time on ST. Wharton, Mouhon, Bryant, ect.

That's not to mention if Malone, or Garrett commit. Both would start.

I think he could but I think Pig moves to slot next year. I also think Pearson plays there some. Both of those assuming Malone comes. Not to mention Jenkins in the wings.

Wharton may be good enough to play a number of positions on offense or defense which require speed and quickness. He is a winner.

Better not get to far ahead of yourself. Gaulden may start over Todd Kelly, Jr.

I would have to agree with the OP but give or take a couple. The good news is that IMO, most of the ones you mentioned are good enough to start from day one but whether they will or not is a different story. Lucky for us, there is a lot of speed on that list which is exactly what we need.

Lane and Hurd will both see minutes at RB. LB will be interesting as we will likely see Reeves Maybin, AJ and Maggitt. You will see a race between Bates, Mouhon and Weatherd to claim a spot.

It actually would not surprise me to see Maggitt play WDE and the LBs be AJ, Reeves-Maybin and an incoming recruit.

DB I would not be surprised to see TKjr starting with Randolph and then anyone at corner. I think we will actually have depth and competition here.

DL I can see a package with O'Brien, Carr, Maggitt, and Vereen on passing downs and O'Brien, Carr, Lambert, and Maggitt on running plays.

We will be much faster and more athletic next year on D.

Pig already starts in the slot. I wonder how many times a game they will use that play that Dobbs tosses it forward to Pig for zero or negative yards or swing passes or reverses that lose yards every time they run it. Other teams execute it, i just wonder if its WR blocking or what. Seems evertime they run it on first down we are instantly in 2nd and more than 10. We need a speed, homerun guy bad and can see Pearson filling that next season and can see Jenkins and Vic getting slot time as well.
