Web Censorship and Political Bias

So you don’t deny Politco lies, twists, and misleads. Good for you. It’s a step in the right direction.

Nothing of the sort, just pointing out your hypocrisy. But unlike many persons here I follow media from many sources including Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Drudge and I even look at Breitbart and Info Wars when I need a laugh. And I frequently check in to 8kun. I like to be as informed as possible.

Where have I been a hypocrite exactly? Are you making assumptions? It would certainly seem so. I won’t say I’ve never been one as I think everyone is at some point or another but I strive to be consistent and I look at multiple sources too. I linked a freaking Politco story.

Lots of National guard on the move the last few days. Keep an eye on it.

Have cash.
Have your tanks full.
Have food and any meds(if you take them) for two weeks.

I’m sure someone else has told you by now but you can’t hashtag any numbers on Twitter. You can spell out the numbers but that’s it.
I really don’t know because I just read Twitter, don’t write anything. Maybe I should have tried it before posting that.

Simply pointing out hypocrisy is an attempt to shut down discussion. You're basically saying, "well it was fine when you did it so it must be fine."

We are in big trouble. Scary times when half the country cheers as the other half is silenced
It is man. You can even see the divide in this thread as well. Not one lefty in here agrees (or will comment) that this type of tech overreach is a dangerous precedent. It's one thing for twitter, a private company, to ban someone. That's bad enough. It's quite another when a platform who has done nothing wrong is kicked off the internet because it is a competitor for those tech companies who are silencing conservatives. Something needs to be done now.

They cheer it because in their heros words: we are all terrorists.

I don't like Trump and have often wished he would shut up. But for him, our acting president and a member of the free world, to be silenced like this is one of the scariest things I've witnessed in my lifetime.

And just as bad they are moving to silence everyone of us. Many conservatives were booted from twitter and by shutting parler down. They are the CCP

It should frighten all of us. This is the road to totalitarianism. One party rule, one voice, everyone else silenced. We've seen this before in history. We know where this leads.

Especially when the nut case wing of the Republican Party thinks it's ok to invade and trash the Capitol, not to mention murder a Capitol police officer.

What about the nutcase wing of the Dem party that thought it was ok to invade and trash private businesses, police stations and murder cops? You know people like our incoming VP?

"Don't you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought. In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it."

". . .three hundred million people all with the same face."

Orwell only got the year wrong.

Rand Paul’s Wife Blasts Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey For Allowing Threats Against Her Husband

"[R]emember how for the last three years you have allowed thousands of hateful tweets celebrating my husband’s assault and encouraging more violence against him? I do.”

On Sunday, in the wake of the news that Twitter had permanently banned President Trump from using its platform and blowback ensued over concerns over free speech, Kelley Ashby Paul, the wife of Kentucky GOP Senator Rand Paul, blasted Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, writing, “Hey @Jack, remember how for the last three years you have allowed thousands of hateful tweets celebrating my husband’s assault and encouraging more violence against him? I do.”

At the end of December, a man who was named “National Teacher of the Year” in 2019 by the Council of Chief State School Officers tweeted that the neighbors of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell should act like a “true Kentucky hero” the way that the neighbor of Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) violently attacked Paul in 2017, leaving him with six broken ribs and necessitating the removal of part of his lung.

Rodney Robinson tweeted, “Who are Mitch McConnell’s neighbors? I’m just saying Rand Paul’s neighbor did what a true Kentucky hero should do. It’s your turn to step up.”

In March 2020, Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s daughter appeared to praise the 2017 attack on Paul (R-KY) after Paul announced that he had contracted the coronavirus, which originated in China. Christine Pelosi tweeted, “Rand Paul’s neighbor was right.”

In July 2019, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), retweeted actor and outspoken leftist Tom Arnold on July 29 after he wrote on Twitter: “Imagine being Rand Paul’s next door neighbor and having to deal with [Rand Paul] lying cowardly circular whiney bullcrap about lawn clippings. No wonder he ripped his toupee off.”

Not sure what wing of there Democratic Party you're talking about. Show me one Democratic politician who tells Antifa to go into the streets, like Trump did. As far as I know there were no police officers killed in the summer protests. And don't try to claim the criminals out there who do shoot police officers are automatically Democrats, they're not. Those type of murders predate last summer.

Our incoming VP called for people to hit the streets this summer, even condoned the violence by saying (paraphrasing) "people are frustrated and acting out". We have dem mayors and prosecutors refusing to charge rioters and looters because they are poor and businesses "have insurance" we have a CNN personality that said "who says a protest has to be peaceful".

There were at least 3 officers killed during the riots, tied directly to the riots and hundreds injured.
