Week 14 AP Poll: UT #7

Yep but 2 of those 3 teams will be conference champs and all three are ranked behind us. So no matter what Tennessee will drop 2 spots in the rankingss just by virtue of those two teams winning and jumping into the top 4.
I think only 4 of the 5 automatic qualifiers get a bye. I am not sure Boise jumps us, even if they win a title. But, I could be wrong.

If Oregon wins out, who will play in the Big 10 final? Is it Ohio State? What happens if Oregon wins that game again? Where will Ohio State finish?

Most experts think the loser of course ohio state/Oregon are in the 5th seed their only losses will be to #1 no matter what with both having multiple top ten wins

If Ohio state beats Michigan they are in the vs Oregon,.if they lose its pedo State

This is true but Boise is going to be ranked higher than the Big 12 champ most likely so the four seed and bye is probably going to Boise.

What would be really unfortunate is if OSU lost Michigan and they stayed in front of us as the 8 and we’re the 9. Playing round 1 in Columbus wouldn’t be ideal with Heup’s road record.

I've been to games at the shoe. It will be an experience for sure and UT fans won't get many tickets lol

That makes no sense. Georgia is ranked right above us. If they beat Texas they get an automatic bye and Texas will not drop below us in the rankings almost guaranteed.
I don’t think it’s right to punish a team for going to a conference championship. I don’t think it will happen. I could be wrong, and I guess we will see. Us going to the playoffs would be great.

Actually, no team in the Top 25 is a "Creampuff"......... any of those teams can beat you if you have a bad game so stop badmouthing other teams. Of course we'd like the VOLS to be in the CFP and get a home game so let's just pull for them and not against others. The Cream will rise to the top!

Although it doesn’t mean anything until after the conference championship games, I saw several brackets yesterday that had only 3 teams from the SEC- Texas, Georgia and us with the ACC getting a second team (SMU) in addition to Miami. They still had 4 from the Big 10 still in including Indiana. Interesting.

A dialed in UGA is probably the best team in the country. Easy way to make sure UGA wins another national championship...put them in front of UT again so they can play their best game of the season. If we got the UGA that's rolled out there for about half their games, we'd be in SEC CG running.
If the same UGA team that righted the ship and beat us in Athens shows up for the duration, you're prob gonna see another ring on Kirby's finger. Oregon has been impressive, but not sure they can take down a UGA team that is clicking.

Issue for UGA is that the Carson Beck you are getting for any given game is pretty much unknown.

Indiana is a cinch to be in, and the teams that will host, as of now, are Big 10 Champ loser, ND, PennSt, and UGA...really hard to see any other scenario right now.

The key is where we will be relative to Indiana because that puts us at 9 or 10 depending on that. At 9, you just need one upset (ND at USC being the most likely) to host. At 10 you really need some help, but in that case, if Indiana is 9, at least with an upset you be playing in Bloomington which would likely be the easiest road test.

For completely selfish reasons (Bloomington is only 40 minutes away and I would LOVE to smash it in all these Hoosier bandwagoners), I would die for a Vols visit to IU.

I doubt it will happen, but I didn’t see Oklahoma beating Bama either, so you never know. There could be more madness ahead. I just hope we stay out of any madness.
Pretty much been a season of no one taking control of anything. Except maybe Oregon. I'd say their schedule is on the light sidee too, but they've also took care of business. They could be legit. I thought tOSU was a little suspect and weak at QB, but here they are with only the one loss.

A three-lose Alabama team with two of those being Vanderbilt and Oklahoma being anywhere but about 20th is dumb. They deserved to tumble harder. They have only played one elite quarter of football all season, and it was barely enough to win at Georgia.

How many have we played?
