#10 WVU 78 #24 Texas 85

The whorns now have three wins over Top Ten teams, UNC and WVU (twice).

#13 Iowa State 91 #25 Baylor 100 OT

My Bears sweep the regular season series (four of last 4, 11 of 13) vs the 'clones without the BIG XIIs leading rebounder Rico Gathers (averaging a dbl/dbl for the season), cousin of the late great Hank Gathers (Loyola Marymount All-American). The 'clones hold wins over #2 Kansas, #3 Oklahoma and #4 Iowa this season. Tough stretch run coming up for the Bears:

2/20 @ Texas 1:00 PM
2/23 vs Kansas 7:00 PM
2/27 @ TCU 7:00 PM
3/1 @ Oklahoma 7:00 PM
3/5 vs West Virginia TBD

#6 Maryland loses at Minnesota 68-63. It was the Gophers first Big 10 win of the season as they improve (lol) to 7-19 on the year.

#22 Indiana beats #17 Purdue 77-73.

with the current standings (IU 12-3, Iowa 11-3, Maryland 10-4), it seems the Indiana-Iowa rematch and the Indiana-Maryland game are likely going to be what determines the Big 10 regular season title.

Games left:

Indiana: @Illinois, @ #4 Iowa, v. #6 Maryland

Iowa: v. Wisconsin, @ Ohio State, v. #22 Indiana, @ Michigan

Maryland: v. Michigan, @ #17 Purdue, v. Illinois, @ #22 Indiana

(I guess technically Michigan State 9-5 is still alive as well.)

Motley also earned National Player of the Week recognition from NBCSports.com and ESPN’s Andy Katz. He led Baylor to pair of wins over ranked opponents – the Bears knocked off No. 13 Iowa State, 100-91, in overtime on Tuesday, and BU followed that victory with a 78-64 win at No. 24 Texas on Saturday.

The redshirt sophomore from Houston averaged 25.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in 31.5 minutes while starting his second and third games of the season. He connected on 22-of-30 field goal attempts (.733), improving his Big 12-leading field goal percentage from .624 to .640.

Motley matched his career high with 27 points and added 10 rebounds and four blocks in Tuesday’s win over Iowa State. In Saturday’s game at Texas, Motley made his first 11 shots and finished with 24 points. His .923 shooting percentage (12-of-13) vs. Texas was the fourth-best in program history and the best mark by a Big 12 player in league play this season. Motley has improved his field goal percentage by 22 percent from .417 last season to .640 this year, and his current 2015-16 mark is the third-best in Baylor’s single-season history.

Big game tonight in Waco, in terms of NCAA seeding, between #2 Kansas and #19 Baylor.

Edit: ASU closes the half strong 44-10. One Devils player has 8pts and 12rebs. :birgits_giggle:

Edit: Final score 81-46. Must suck to be Bobby Hurley about now.

#12 Indiana beats #16 Iowa 81-78 to win the Big 10 title outright.

(One of those ugly games where one team led by 14 most of the 2nd half, the 25-10 foul difference slowed them down, the other team went on a 24-8 point run, and then both went pretty much hypothermic in the last 4 minutes.)

As my friends (lol) from College Station like to say, "we didn't lose, we just ran out of time".

You don't lead by 25 points at one point and end up coming down to the last few seconds. I saw more than a few folks biting fingernails and sweating over that one.
