With all the talk about the OF playing shallow....the one thing that everyone seems to forget is that the WIND was blowing straight out...proof was a couple plays earlier...so even if it was a slap hitter, the ball was going to travel to the outfielder...so play deep bc it was going to get to them either way

how dare you post your opinion on a message board :angry: lol I'm like most of the mighty Vol fans,i coach from my chair,i holler at the TV,i cusss,i swear during the game,i let my opinion out on Volnation.com, whether anybody want to hear it or not :yes:

i think the Weeklys have done a fine job,with out great coaching and recruiting ,the Lady Vols wouldn't have made it to the championship game to begin with,so we all cold gripe about what defense or offensive play has been called

as all ways Go Lady Vols :salute::rock::yahoo::pepper::pepper:

They made some mistakes that helped OK win the first game.

I think they learned a lesson after putting their outfielders in position to get burned badly at a crucial point in the game.

They're not bad coaches at all and I bet they'll continue to have good teams.

At least you watched the game. Softball attendance is pathetic. Why be critical of criticism and drive away fans.

We lacked the hitting/clutch hitting in the Championship game. Too many lefty slappers vs. the best curve/drop lefty in the game.

edit: just wanted to add it just wasnt a good match up, nothing to do with the coaching.

I'm talking about attendance in general, not the World Series games. Many regular season games have only a few hundred attendance. One football game attendance probably exceeds an entire season of softball home games, and that's for the top softball teams.

Lady Vols seat about 1600 and had several sellouts. Bama seats 3000 & continually has a packed house.

Unfortunately scalpers got a hold of season tickets. Hard to sell them during the regular season except for the Bama series so usually a few empty seats if it's not a big game. Most of the seats in front of me were empty most of the season unless the scalpers found someone willing to buy them. During the last couple of weeks and during the NCAA's they sold what they had.
