Were we overmatched, outcoached or just lackadaisical with today's effort?

While on paper, it looked like we only lost by 2 TDs, the game got away from us early. In reality, we were never really competitive. We blew our chances of making a strong comeback with silly penalties and interceptions. Living down here in GA, I have to face another year of knowing we lost again. Basketball doesn't count at all. We could beat GA senseless b-ball and no one cares.

All of the above, IMO. BUT, it’s probably the best thing to happen to us. We are in a great position to get to the playoffs without having to play in the SECCG. Clemson will get beat tonight, bama is in a battle and will def lose to GA. We will not get left out for a 2 loss bama, 1 loss Clemson, or 3 loss LSU if they happen to win.

I think Kirby simply had a great gameplan to stop us. Lots of shifting and disguised blitzes that confused Hooker and the offensive Line. Sure, you could say we were outcoached. But what Huepel has done has been successful all year. Kirby was the one that stopped it. We didn't know what our weaknesses were until Georgia exploited them.

Also, it was a matter of execution. Georgia tackled really well and didn't give our offense any room to get things going.

So to answer your question, I think Georgia had the better ganeplan and sure we were overrated player to player as Georgia won the trenches.

Yeah maybe if we kept it close. Now it’s solely dependent on who wins and loses

Oline set the tone. They struggled thus Hooker struggled as well.

Actually our pass protection was fine in the first half---but we struggled to run the ball and Hooker kept throwing 5 yard passes--either because he was making terrible decisions or because our receivers were not getting separation down the field. Could have been both--but I get a sense our receivers simply could not get open. Whatever we were running, it did not in any way fool or confuse Georgia.

I could deal with the 5 yd passes, because you get two in a row and you get your first down. But coupled with the silly sacks, it meant a harder afternoon for us.

Well yea as it would be for any team in college football. Clemson is going to lose tonight. The only thing that will kill our chances it Alabama beating GA and that isn’t happening
