Got some WVU friends who are going crazy on the social media, not sure this is what they need if they want to keep being ranked in the BCS though.
My friends up here that I've talked to aren't all that happy about it. Glad to get out of BE, but would much rather have gone to SEC or ACC. 700 miles to their closest away game!! Ouch!!
A logistics nightmare...closest road game is who? Iowa State?
Inconvenience, like pain, plateaus at a certain point. Mizzou's closest SEC game will be 430 miles (and, for Vandy...), second closest is 450 (hooray, Kentucky); after that, every other division game will be at least 500 miles; and, aside from Arkansas, so will their games against the SECW.
Both moves (WVU and Mizzou) are bad for logistics and will only be seen as good moves in terms of the revenue generating sports. I cannot imagine that the respective women's crew teams are all too happy about the new arrangements (or, any other sport at each school).
Agreed on logistics. Just glad Mizzou is bolting the Bevo 12 conference. KU might be thinking about doing the same. Unless they only care about their BB program. If thats the case they will own the Bevo 12 forever.
I just stopped by BGN and they seem preoccupied with Big East lawsuits.
Boise State is joining the Big East?
