What’s the likelihood that we see civil unrest soon?

Can you give us an example?
I think the members of Congress beating and shooting each other should come back.

Being willing to back your beliefs even in the face of violence was a very key trait for our early nation. At least then you know your politician actually cares. And it likely weeds out the lifers like McConnel who couldnt stand up to a strong breeze.

Duels should be legalized and encouraged.

Not a bad idea. It certainly would have immediately filtered out Trump.

1/6 was 99% peaceful.
McAuliffe and whatever the dummy running for Dem AG here ran ads with a literal made up number on the "number of cops killed by protestors" at that event.

You know, the event where conservative bastion the New York Times had to retract, walk back, and edit their claims about a cop being killed by a fire extinguisher, etc.

This probably doesn't matter but you know Trump was never a member of Congress, right?
True, it doesn't matter; but this part of the post does.......Being willing to back your beliefs even in the face of violence was a very key trait for our early nation.

I have to ask why are we hanging up on the % that actually is "peaceful". Let's just go ahead and accept for our purposes the 96%. So the 4% would meet the criteria for the actions posited?
Sure, on both sides, within the timing of the event.

Your tumscence for Trump-trolling clouded your cognitive function with respect to "members of Congress" in your haste to satiate yourself.

You asked for examples and received this reply:

BLM raiding restaurants and demanding white patrons bow down to them.
BLM protests blocking intersections and roadways.
BLM burning and looting businesses, especially black-owned ones.

Do you agree these are valid examples?

Jan. 6, BLM, or any other rioter is raiding a place of business and forcing people to flee or bow down - valid
Jan. 6, BLM, or any protestors blocking roads - not valid
Jan. 6, BLM, or any other rioters raiding buildings and attacking LEO and others - valid.

Many instances where it is completely justified. If I'm driving my wife, child, friend, etc to the hospital and you are blocking my path, expect to be met with violence.
If you are crowding around my vehicle, and threatening violence, expect to be run over.
If you are physically touching my car while blocking my path, expect to be run over.
You have no right to impede someone's travel on public roadways. Period. I won't run you over if you're just making me late to work, although I won't bat an eye if someone else does.

Blocking roads is illegal, scooter. Unless the road was already blocked off by local authorities.

Thanks, just wanting to see where people agree there are actions that can trigger a "valid" response. (and leave the cops out of it as the point, as I understand it, is citizens having to deal with certain situations)

Just curious though, why the pass on intentional prevention of free travel? I'm not talking about a bit of inconvenience, I mean stopping people from moving which may even include threat of force to prevent such travel.

If a protest grows so large that it blocks off a road or two, I do not believe that is a license to plow through in your vehicle.
If rioters are stopping cars and threatening violence, that's a different situation entirely.

You make a key point, It was the willingness to stand up for what you thought was right in the face of taking a beating.
Remind me who stood up to the attackers on 1/6 and what leaders turned tail......all of them.....
