What people? I don't assume it because I know members of both parties fly the American flag. Are you talking about idiots who think in that manner? People like the clown embarrassing himself in this forum right now?Maybe so, but it is funny that if you fly an American flag people assume you are a Republican. Democratic party has plenty of outspoken members who are to put it plainly anti-patriotic and proud of it.

She must be pretty stupidIt's anecdotal I admit. My brother's college girlfriend made a statement about "Trump supporters" the other day, and I asked why she thought they were Trump Supporters and she said she knew they were because they had a flag on the back of their car. I've heard many statements like that the past couple years. Just an observation.
Stars and Bars, wasn't the Northern Virginia version. It was next to his MAGA flag.
So he was flying this... He must of been a historian as most people don't know their Confederate history.Thanks. I asked because it’s kinda rare for the actual Stars and Bars to be flown and because so many people think the Battle Flag is the real Confederate States flag.
Trumpism has intentionally and effectively (for many) tried to blur the distinction between patriotism and nationalism. Millions of patriotic people wish to avoid being lumped in with the "nationalist". Any decrease in the outward display of "patriotism" among those millions is not due to a decrease in their patriotism but merely an attempt to avoid being mistaken as a Trumper. It's anecdotal I admit. I follow the constitution. Chipping away at its freedoms is something I take personal. When I swore in as a police officer, I meant every word and live my life by it. Call it less than patriotic if you like but not many that know me would agree and I’m every bit as vocal about how I feel in real life s as I am on here. And apparently neither do you.
Who said I was republican? There’s things I don’t agree with on that side as well. I consider myself independent because the constitution is all I need. I don’t need ANY politician telling me how to live my life. I have the freedom to choose for myself and those that support that are the ones that get my vote. #Ron DesantisPatriotism has nothing to do with being a Republican or Democrat.
